It seems Bank of America has become anti 2nd. Amendment. Check out the link below to see their dealings with McMillan Industries in Arizona. http://www.ammoland.com/2012/04/20/bank-of-america-refusing-businesses-that-support-the-2nd-amendment/#axzz1siyfDVoV

Glad you and your wife are okay. You handled the situation in the best way possible. Yeah, you could have shot him, but taking a life is not something any normal person wants to do unless it is unavoidable. You were prepared, didn't panic, and took all the right steps. Excellent job! -
Watch it, could be another Nigerian scam! :o <lmao>

Why would he want to shoot Greg? <dontknow> :cookoo: <laughs>

My buddy, who was the designated sniper on our SWAT team, always said the same thing. He would go to the range once a month and set up a bullseye target @ 100 yards and take one shot with a cold rifle. He would then take the target to the P.D. and have the Chief initial it with the date, time and weather conditions and put it in a file. He felt that if he ever had to go to court on a shooting those targets would be the most representative of his abilities under the conditions he would be shooting in. Fortunately, he never had to 'Take the shot' before he retired.

Unless you are at a Law Enforcement convention and someone asks you "What's that I smell?" <lmao> I'm a retired LEO and heard that comment a couple of times.

Out of high school I worked on oil rigs in Kansas, then worked for Adventureline Mfg. in Parsons Ks. making 30 rnd. M-16 mags for the military. After that I was a mechanic (they're called service techs now) for a Chevy dealership. I then spent 23 years as a cop and retired from that. I then put my wife through nursing school while working at an auto parts store. Now she makes more money than I ever did and I just do honey-do stuff and substitute at the local high school some.

Will Schuemann, who makes some of the most accurate 1911 barrels on the market, recommends not cleaning the bores in his barrels, only the chambers. Most of his barrels are used by USPSA shooters, who shoot thousands of rounds a year! (I used to shoot 8 to 10 thousand rounds every year when I was at the top of my game.) -
Bypass the T-shirts and lets go straight to the polo shirts!

You're making me feel bad Archangel! My safe hasn't looked that neat and organized in a long time. Guess I should get off my ass and go do something about it! ::) -
LOL! The 392 part is a holdover from back when I had a 392 Chrysler Hemi in my Cuda. It has a 5.7L Hemi with a 6.1 SRT cam in it now, has just as much power and handles a LOT better! I know what you're saying about the BLM land around here, I've been known to use the Florida Mntns. south of Deming here as a backstop! I'm just getting started reloading 308 also and I still need to get the stuff to change my RL550 over. Might be a while though, it's spring and the wife is wanting some landscaping done. Since she got me the LR308 for Christmas I figure I better get her stuff done first.

Do you shoot at the Ft. Bliss Rod & Gun Club? I try to get over there every month for the USPSA match.

I've always used Winchester Standard Rifle Primers.

I've been addicted to the 1911 platform since 1978 and I love building them. I just picked up a new S-V Infinity receiver but haven't decided what I'm going to build yet. Right now I'm just enjoying thinking about all the possibilities! Geez, I sound like some of the guys here when they pick an AR receiver just because it was a good deal! <lmao>

Warning! Reloading can be addictive! It's a great stress reliever for me and I would do a lot more of it if I could afford more components! You will enjoy using the Lee turret press and it doesn't have the headaches the progressives sometimes do. Have fun! <thumbsup>

These 3 are all competition guns I've built. The first one is the .45 I used when I first started shooting USPSA Limited. The second one is .40 S&W and I built it about 15 years ago to shoot in Limited, and I'm guessing it has had well over 50K rounds through it. The bottom one is a Para-Ordinance receiver with a Caspian slide gun in .40 S&W that I built from parts I had lying around and is a backup for the competition gun above it. I've had several other 1911 platform guns through the years that I don't even have pics of. My oldest son now has my Colt Govt. Model that was my duty gun for many years and my youngest has confiscated my Kimber Ultra II, claiming it's his now! :o

Here's my carry gun. I've been packing this one for over 15 years so it looks a little worse for wear, but I would still bet my life on it! After I bought it I added a Wilson hammer, Ed Brown grip safety & speed safety, longer trigger, better aftermarket sights, checkered the frontstrap 30 lpi, beveled the magwell and had it refinished in Black-T.

I would say you should be able to load very accurate ammo on the Lee Turret press. I wouldn't go so far as to say you could load to bench rest accuracy, but then again I've never tried to load to that level on any press I own. The way I look at it is that the press will load ammo that is probably more accurate than my shooting abilities. The interchangeable turrets is one of the great features of the Lee, I have a separate turret for each caliber that I don't load high volume (I have a separate setup for those for the Dillon machine) and I never have to mess with resetting dies. Lee claims the turrets snap in to the same position every time, and I've never had any indication that they don't. I would suggest getting the Lee hand primer tool to prime your cases if the turret press kit you're looking at doesn't already come with it. I never liked the little priming tool that fits on the press, it's way slow and you have to handle each individual primer with it.
