Had to put two quarters in my Aero tube to get it a reasonable distance from the.bolt catch so it didn't slam it. You may have posted a link to the info in my Matrix build thread?

I am finding it an expensive club. Besides the high admission fee there is the skyrocketing ammo budget to contend with. I'm going to enact a new policy for friends that want to shoot with me now, I supply the rifles and suppressors, they supply the ammo. Used to be 5 rounds with the 716 pistol or maybe ten on the Matrix with a brake and they were good, now they keep asking for another mag!

I have the Strke Fire with red or green dot. It's pretty close in quality to my Aimpoint Pro, not quite as crisp a dot but plenty good enough, hot, cold, grandkids, and wife it has handled them all.
-
Regardless I want them to check it out, I just can't see well enough to be confident it didn't hit a baffle and I don't want it coming apart when it goes back on a 308. From what I understand they usually cut it off and weld a new cap on it. It won't be on me either way, Dad is the one that didn't screw it on right! I have read of cases a few years back where AAC fixed issues like this under warranty even when they were informed it was user error so I'm hopeful, for Dad's sake.

No FN here, I'm a Sig 226 fanboy all the way.

They are fine, the ejector is an Armalite replacement as the NIB ejector picked up brass and caused it to hang up, Dave sent me replacements I just never got around to putting an NIB back in it. Mushroom is just an optical illusion as the sides of the ejector are polished bright and the top comes with a slight radius on the edges. Ran 90 rounds of LC M193 through it this morning as fast as I could, no issues.

Hey Dave, What Gives? D. Wilson BCG's Gone?

I hope he is just too damn busy with big orders right now. If not then glad I stocked up on what I did. -

If it is not an NFA item then you are good to go, normal rules apply. Some of the older stuff is classified as a curio or relic, not real clear on what difference that makes besides you can get a special FFL to collect them, get them mailed to your door with less paperwork, supposedly. -
So I'm looking for a link to Dave's lightweight AR-15 BCG and discover he doesn't even have AR-15 BCG's on his site now, no 308 BCG's in stock! http://www.dwilsonmfg.com/store/c1/store

If it is already on the list and you fill out the proper transfer paperwork, pay your $200 then you can. If it was never registered then it is not legal to own or transfer. I think they allowed a short grace period in 68 for vets and families to register their trophies, if they missed it then they are in jeopardy of being a felon. I am very sure there are weapons out there that would be registered and available for transfer if an amnesty were offered. -
That DOT line is crap! I've shipped ammo and had tens of thousands of rounds shipped to me. The rule is it has to go ground and has to be properly marked. Mass Ammo exchanged some Federal M1A ammo due to excessive case dents, they sent M118 LR back to me in exchange. I shipped some crappy 175 gr 308 back to Freedom munitions due to poor accuracy and many cases not fitting a case gauge, they credited my account and shipped me the ammo I selected. Freedom was the actual manufacturer but MassAmmo is just a resale outfit.

Sent one to larry as soon as I read the response from Rebecca..........might have to call at some point.

I'm not going to bother my LGS with it. I'll keep after IMI for all the good it will do. I'll continue to post reviews on forums to warn others. Already unsubscribed to midway emails, they will not see a dime of my money. I replied to the email letting them know I was not ignorant of the regulations and had returned faulty ammo to reputable dealers on two separate occasions. I'll be curious to see if they post my review of the ammo with pictures.

It's on its way to AAC for a checkup and repair, should have a cost by this time next week. Hope this doesn't dissuade Dad from using one with his 300 BO, it was nice to see him excited about something.

Midway punted, sent me a link to IWI. I have already emailed them, I'm starting to see this go nowhere.

I'm a fan of Faxon as well, wish they would consider making a 16 inch rifle gas.
-
Why not look for a 16 inch rifle length gas, best of both worlds. http://criterionbarrels.com/barrels/.308_AR/adm-nitrided-308-ar-barrels http://www.opticsplanet.com/criterion-barrels-ar-10-rifle-length-gas-system-barrel.html?_iv_code=2RR-BRI-RLHYBRID10-1016S-HYR

Keep us posted if this should come to fruition. -
The bolt has roughly a 1,000 rounds on it, maybe a bit more. The NIB is a bit worn at the edges of the carrier rails but nothing that looks like the bolt face here. It's not real deep but for sure a lot rougher than it was.
-
Need more details. Does it lock the bolt back when firing with one round and the magazine in for a start. How many rounds fired total. What ammo? etc.......
-
Took me an hour to strip the rifle down and get all the primers out. Had to remove the FCG to get one and then part of one was embedded inside the barrel extension. PITA! It looks like some of the NIB coating was damaged on the bolt face, almost like some pitting there but then I don't have any close up before pictures. Midway will hear about it for sure........

Welcome from Iowa!

Ran some in my Armalite M15T this morning, same results, maybe a little more damage to the case head from extractor/ejector. The first rifle is a low mass build with adjustable gas block turned WAY down, the M15T is a mid length gas with a H2 buffer in it. Ammo is IMI 5.56 M193, lot #00219-6. I have informed Midway, we will see what they do.
