Congrats, I was going to get that safe from Academy sporting goods, good safe for the money, but Gander mountain had a sale and ended up getting a 64 gun liberty, I got one of the 110v. peet dehumidifiers but we have LOTS of humidity here and it still stays at about 45% (inside the air conditioned house) so I have to get another to go along with it, going to check into the ones recommended here. I do not intend to hijack so feel free to warn/move/delete if needed, but my liberty safe has the expanding door seal which does no sealing unless it gets hot, right now it has about 3/16' movement in the door, with our high humidity would it be better if the door had a full time seal so once the dehumidifier dries it out it stays out? Sorry to hear about your dogs, it sucks when they are sick, they can't tell you like kids can, we just lost one too, he was my wifes baby, definitely the most affectionate dog I have ever seen, he developed a heart murmur/fast heart rate, meds helped, one week later he saw a coon on the carport and got excited so my wife picked him up and took him over to the sofa and he died in her arms, it was VERY rough.

If you think the "shot once" may actually be correct, find a colt expert that can give you a written evaluation and appraisal, also if it turns out to be only test fired don't shoot it anymore and get the colt letter to go with it.

My cannondales both have engines (cannondale cannibal ATV's), too old and too much arthritis for pedal power.

That is the one I was looking at, good reviews, quality seems good, may get it the next time I order anyway, its cheap enough.

Its a homebuild, waiting for a TM upper to get made, they said that it would be in the first quarter and I see all of the ar 15 uppers are showing in stock so I hope 308 is next, I thought about machining a deflector like one that is forged as part of the receiver and bolting it on from the inside also. I like the CVT brass catcher the best I think, will see what she wants to try. :binkybaby:

Any reason this wont work on her .308? I got them, they are at old sarges drop zone, they also have the LC 7.62 nato brass once fired, $70/500 in stock.

I would expect that humidity probably gets to them after pulling them down, not a big deal just for plinking with the 1919, I think I will give them a try, just won't use in the dry months!

I found some for $60/500 I don't expect match accuracy, will be linked up for 1919 ammo, has anyone used them? They are tempting because of the price.

I too have loaded thousands shot from machine guns, they definitely swell a lot because they take lots of effort on the first sizing, I anneal the necks after three or four firings, but do not keep perfect record some may be more or less and have had no failures except for a few split necks

A instructor showed me years ago how to grip a handgun and it helped a lot, everyone I have showed it to has used it and improved, I am sure its no secret but grip high and tight up against the beavertail with the firing hand (the less the gun sticks up out the top of your hand the better), then starting by putting the support hand thumb against the firing hand thumb just ahead of it you will see how the joints of the two actually fit or align between each other, then wrap the fingers around the front. It's hard to explain but the way he showed me was to get my grip and he made a sharpie index mark on my thumbs so I could use that to verify alignment every time until it was a habit, it works very well, it's very consistent, and keeps your hand out of the way of the hammer or slide. If I knew how to post pics I would put one up. Also focus on the front sight not the target or the rear sight.

The TM pin is definitely better it should not break, it's ok as long as it comes out.

Sure there is a benefit, it will always come out as long as we don't ruin the socket head, the one piece DPMS pin uses a 6/32 thread, TM uses 4-48 for the set screw.

That might be a little adhd? I am known to have shots go all over but that's not at the range!

I just checked, the pin is the same diameter as the dpms part but the set screw is smaller and a much finer pitch, will get thread sizes and pitch and repost.

Neither of those are what come with the TM lower, they send a set screw and a hardened solid dowel pin, the pin in the pic is a roll pin you would definitely never get that out if the hole is drilled the correct size, I just got another TM lower a couple of weeks ago, I also got the screw/pin combination that I want to use and have not checked yet but it looks like it may be a larger thread, will check right now. Boy that looks familiar!! I love my 550, I need to finish up my 45 auto then switch over to .308 for my 1919.

Register over at Weaponsguild there are a few there that have done the 45acp builds IIRC.

Do we seem to have a problem with loose nuts around here?
