  1. What are the heaviest buffers in use? What would "too heavy" do/cause?
  2. Good news, just post it up and will get you paid immediately.
  3. We used to have times like that in the plant where I worked as a maintenance machinist, but we also had times where we had no real problems for extended periods of time, hop it gets better.
  4. I had been down with a ruptured disc for several weeks and was full of pain meds so I was sleeping late when my best friend called to tell me the first tower just got hit, I turned on the news and almost could not believe what I was seeing, will never forget that moment.
  5. WOW!
  6. Yes! I have seen them all a couple of times, but have been a Tom Selleck fan since the 80's,I also like the westerns Monte Walsh, and Crossfire Trail, and just watched Ike countdown to D-day last night.
  7. A new law went into effect here yesterday protecting CHL holders from charges of unlawful carry for the accidental display of a handgun, this was one of the biggest worries for a lot of CHL holders here.
  8. And I didn't think I could feel any worse about myself than I did just a few minutes ago, thank's a lot.
  9. Aren't there some early ones that are supposedly unsafe to fire? If I remember correctly something to do with receiver and or bolt material/heat treatment?

    Heat!

Well I couldn't manage to stay in Red River permanently :'( , but we did have excellent weather and good fishing. The cabin we stayed in was just over 9200 ft elevation, I was out of breath from just rolling over in bed, I never had that much of a problem at 8000 ft, found out that my 3 1/2 yr old gets altitude sickness just like I do, had to drive to Taos to get her meds, but I did get to eat lunch (over ate) at Michaels Kitchen, been eating there since the late 70's and it's always excellent  . Then had to drive the 900+ miles back to the surface of the sun here.
  11. Never thought about it but the first one I would name would be my M1a, and it would have to be Charlene!
  12. I have been extremely happy with the VOODOO bag that I got for my 308ar and my m1a, very quality, lots of storage and protects the guns well from outside objects and from each other, picked it up at a gun show for about 80 bucks.
  13. Don't loosen them by hand with a ratchet if you get to one that is stuck, hit it with a impact, have a very good friend that is a 25 yr ford mechanic and he swears by this method as he sees these every day. He says he hardly ever breaks one off anymore.

    Heat!

Leaving sat am for Red River N.M., finally! I have a 31/2 yr old so that means I haven't been in 2 1/2 yrs. it was 100+ here again today and its been 60's/40's there.
  15. It's not off to a very good start! I am going over to W.G. to check out the girls with guns thread. I think I just threw up in my mouth a bit.
  16. This same thing happened to a good friends 14 yr old a few months back, also multiple perps. involved, barely even got a slap on the wrist, when it happens here the driver is supposed to stop the bus and call the sheriffs dept, but he just kept on driving and took them home, it took several days to find them and then nothing happened to them or the driver.
  17. Wow! What kind of weapon and caliber?
  18. They are BAD! I was bitten when I was about 12 on the forearm, it was real nasty, got about as big as a golf ball real fast and took forever to heal.
  19. Glad you liked it BLKSHEEP, at the last machine shop I worked in we actually had a guy call in and say he had anal glaucoma!
  20. It's called anal glaucoma when you just can't see your ass coming into work. :))
  21. I just realized that mine won't catch open and the problem is that it doesn't have that little ear on the front that the mag follower pushes up on. Don't remember where it came from but will be getting the Armalite part. Thank's for the pics survivalshop!
  22. I doubt that my old man ever thought of the belt thing.
  23. Glenn Fleming did one he calls "the Somali special".

    Heat!

It's back to being hot as the surface of the sun here, no point in even looking at the thermometer, I already know it's f___king hot!
  25. Wow! I never have had anything like that I just walk in and let the feet and lower legs go numb it only takes a few minutes and it's all good. I saw my dad fall into very fast water with chest waders on once, those things filled up immediately and he had a hell of a time getting back up.
