This may be a stupid question but how do you keep the locals for making dinner out of the rest while you are gone overnight? Congrats wish I was there for dinner!

Just my opinion but that rcbs stuff is way too messy. I have had great results with the Hornady one shot, I lay my tumbled cases in rows on a paper towel and spray, allow to dry, roll 1/2 turn, respray and allow to dry, if not allowed to dry it does not work. I also found a device that Lyman makes for lubing the necks, it's a little plastic tray that holds brushes for cleaning the necks and has a tray for their dry powdered lube, it also has ears for attaching it to the bench and a cover. After spraying I hit the inside with the brush and give it a quick dip in the powder, then straight into the press.

Ditto for what has been said, rcbs kit to learn and keep using over time, then Dillon 550, absolutely love the Dillon, no complaints, as stated customer service is second to none, and don't worry about the rcbs being a waste you will still need just about all of that stuff anyway. My 308 reloads out of the Dillon vs. single stage I cannot tell any difference in accuracy, they are both better than I am.

Brass and bulk bullets available at polygunbags.com

Old sarges drop zone has 500ct inspected l.c. brass for $70.00 in stock again -
They are the only "hunting" bullets I had access to, and have not had time to get to the range, may be able to go fri. evening, does anyone have a load they have used in a 308ar with these or a very similar bullet? I have Lake City and commercial brass, Federal large rifle or CCI 34's, Varget and H4895, and possibly another powder but I cannot remember right now. Normally load and test but just don't have time to do all that before the weekend, they don't have to be sub-moa rounds, the longest shot I have is just over 100yds, Thank's.

They have a few different types of each, have bought from them before with no problems, good supplier.

I am on my wifes plan with the state, we have not seen a major increase yet but I periodically get epidural steroid injections in my back and neck, it normally takes just a couple of days for the docs office to get approval from the insurance company, this time it took almost 4 weeks! Meanwhile I am having constant headaches and eating Lortab painpills like they were candy then they want to know why I ran out too soon. When I called the docs office and asked them to call insurance and check for me they told me that it was of no use but I could try myself if I wanted to waste some time.

Wow that's great, I went to a private range today with about a dozen others for the same purpose, we do it every year and friends and family come out and shoot .22's and pistols and have a big outdoor meal and lots of beer afterwards. I wish I had taken pics I had a 4 shot about like that with my M1A and iron sights, I sighted it with the new .047 hooded aperture, I didn't measure but it was probably about a 2" group, a couple of them said "wow" several more were impressed after they tried it. There were several with tighter groups but all had scoped rifles.

Got our shirts today, that was quick, thank's again they look great.

How about a group buy on 30cal suppressors?

In the machine shop in the factory where I used to work we had this hung over the door, and we still got our raises! We the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible, for the ungrateful, we have been doing so much for so long with so little, that now we can do practically anything with nothing.
-
I always crimp, but use the factory crimp die from LEE most of the time, if there is a negative effect on accuracy I haven't seen it but I am not a sub MOA shooter too far past 100 yds anyway, I am doing good to hit beer cans at 200 and a paper plate past that. I have had some uncrimped 5.56 rounds not feed correctly for one reason or another and set the bullet back quite a bit from hitting something on the way in. It was in a ar but do not remember who's or what brand.

WOW! Does anyone know who that second pic is? I have seen her somewhere else and cannot figure out where.

Must have been doing too much too fast and let the wrong person see you! Congrats!

That is good to hear, they are doing exactly what they should be doing, all manufacturers should be that helpful. -

Different ammo may very well fix it so by all means try, but I built a dpms pattern rifle with a barrel that was supposedly made by Mossberg and it did exactly the same thing, the brass looked like yours and it would rip the rim off and had to tap the empty out with a cleaning rod, in fact if I pulled the charge handle back and let it fly as you should then I could not open it back up by hand, I had to pull on the handle and bump the stock on the ground to get it open (kind of scary). When I asked a local gunsmith that I have known for a while he said it was probably rough and or tight, with close inspection it was definitely rough, he suggested polishing, he had me remove the barrel and put it in my lathe using a dowel with a slot in the end and start with 600 paper but only for a few seconds then switched to 1000 and polished until it felt smooth with the dowel. He had me take extra care to not get the paper on the end of the dowel so I didn't work on the shoulder inside the chamber and use the corner of the dowel to feel the shoulder. He checked it for headspace and it was good, he does mostly bolt action work but he polishes like this often and has never had a issue with making the chamber too big, it really isn't removing very much material at all. I have never had another problem and the brass looks normal now. -
Looks great, they are lots of fun to shoot, no dies no worry, I can't find bullets anywhere right now.

I could probably UPS it to you!

Those three would definitely cause a localized rise in blood pressure!

I don't understand why Kawasaki is stuck in the early '80s with chrome plating, everyone else uses nickel or some form of it (won't rust), I will have to get some for next time, just tore down a xr50 that I bought for 200 bucks, the guy already did the carb, tank, petcock, air filter and oil, then figured out it had no compression! Rings were stuck, it's a '02 and hardly has a scratch, I hope to get 750-800 for it.
