  1. Whoo.......that was close smokey. Talk about dodging a bullet. <laughs>
  2. So I FINALLY was able to make it out to the range Sunday morning, and spend a little time with my AR-10 SBR. Those that have followed this little drama on and off, know the story of the handguard breakage........both F-ing times. So I won't bore anybody in the studio audience with going over that mess again. Anyway. Besides installing the new Noveske/SWS rail on the girl, I also upgraded her trigger from the standard Armalite 2 stage trigger, to a Geissele SSA. I also installed the port door without bending the F-ing rod this time (a whole other speedbump that made me see red one day) I think that I posted right after that debacle. I think that I did all of this about a month ago. Between being busy for work...or just shear laziness on weekends with time, I haven't got her back out to even run function checks since being reassembled pretty much from the ground up on the upper. So..................without further ado.........................(drum roll in the background). She ran fukin flawless. It's been quite a while since I've run this thing. Hell...I almost forgot how much I enjoy playing with this fire-breathing little bitch. I ran about 200 rounds through her. Some fast...some slow. She never even burped. Now...she slings the brass pretty good. She chucks them about a good 15 feet away at about the 4 o'clock position. I tried warning this yuck-a-puck that eventually showed up and was trying to set up right where she was chucking them too. But he wasn't interested in taking any advice. I guess he's a REAL MAN. <laughs> So.....what did I do? Ran about two more mags through her at a fairly quick pace.....cleaned up my brass and packed up. <lmao> He didn't seem too happy. FUK EM.....I warned him and he didn't want to listen. This is why I hate people at gun ranges (or anywhere else for that matter). Always trying to ruin my good time. <laughs> And.....I'm liking the new trigger in her too. But we all know what Geissele's are all about. So in closing ladies..........SHE LIVES!
  3. Hey! We've answered that (kind of), and we've moved on. <lmao>
  4. And did you ever think that you would be left out? Not while I'm around! There's beer to be drank. :happydrunks:
  5. Don't laugh too hard you MF-er......you'll probably be part of it.
  6. Yeah.......he'll get used to it around here. Thread-jacking that is.
  7. Armalite ball busting? That, my friend will have to be discussed over "many" beers in person some day. So there.................................
  8. Only after a good night of drinking.
  9. Yeah, we know that. I mean, don't get me wrong, the SCAR 17 is a nice platform. But I'll take my 10 SBR over that rifle any day of the week. Now, of course, I say that being an Armalite junkie.
  10. Just kidding. FN makes a might fine rifle overall.
  11. That was from earlier. I've already showered off my brother. <laughs>
  12. No doubt! Daniels makes some mighty fine (durable) equipment. I'm living proof. <laughs>
  13. Why yes. Yes they are. Just like my ex-wife. <lmao>
  14. Nope. Just mud/grime in the receiver. Dirty as all get out. She felt sooooo dry as you would rack her. BUT....she kept firing at the range.....even suppressed. And I figured that I use her as my "go to" rifle......that she deserved a good thorough cleaning. Sheeeeiiitttt! She's feeling pretty sweet about right now. With some actual lubrication. <laughs>
  15. Eeessh! Something to look forward to I guess.
  16. As expected. Never brother. You know me better than that. <lmao>
  17. That fukin sucks. You would think people would LEARN from this. But....they won't. Fuckin sheeple.
  18. Same way as your women I guess? <lmao>
  19. Larue, and others (like LWRCI...KAC....etc) are the deep end of the pool my man. And the "true" SASS models from Armalite are of the 20" barreled variety. After all, I believe that's what they submitted for the (what became) M110 platform contract.
  20. FUK! As some of you, closer to me than others, know. I HATE cleaning rifles. Now....I love building them. I love shooting them. And I love talking about them. But I fukin HATE cleaning them. Rob will appreciate this. I finally got around to cleaning the MK18 today. After all.....we played around with her at Edge's graduation last MAY. Meaning May of '14. GAWD DAMN she was dirty! Needless to say.............3 hours later........she was finally cleaned up. I just figured that I'd pass that along. Carry on.......as you were. <lmao>
  21. Well of course.....it's an Armalite. <laughs>
  22. White collar job? That's it! You're excommunicated! <laughs>
  23. All the kidding aside. You did an outstanding job Rob. It sounded like you represented us all VERY well. And, you were pretty informative to the guy you were talking to. Hopefully this helps some guys either come to our site, or helps them out with their builds. I'm Ron (rsquared) and I approve of this message. <thumbsup>+1 Rob
