What you listed are all good, matrix was one that was popular around here and also Areo. stay away from places like blackthorn and some would say CMMG also. I've always thought you get what you pay for.

I've run 180 grain Winchester power point and privi partizan 165 grain from my factory built dpms rifle. The Winchester I've deer hunted with and patterned it good enough to make me comfortable enough to take a deer down with (and I've taken a deer or two with it) . The PPu I've basically used as blasting ammo at the beginning of a sight in or just out slapping the trigger but it's been dependable. I did have one lite strike on one round outta maybe 150-200 rounds.

Just putting it out there I don't need to part with it but it's just sitting in the box. IMO the vortex is a Cadillac compared to UGT, I've used a few of their products and I shoulda just waited till I had the money to buy a quality product

My buddy has been trying to get me to go on another hunt with him since we went hog hunting in Louisiana. Well it hasn't worked out or he's picked somthing to rich for my blood. I've been telling him I wouldn't mind going south and doing a duck hunt. Well he threw me a curve ball, Thursday he text me says hey Hank Shaw is doing a duck hunt and cooking school wanna go?!? I got alil off put by the price, but after thinking about it and humming and hawing, I decided fukk it, it's a once in a life time trip.
