    Ice fishing ?

Sisco that's a pig! Laker right? I understand where your coming from it's a big mind fuk, sorry to hear about your friend. I've heard a lot of horror stories about superior, a bastard of a lake that's for sure! I own a ice shack with 3 other guys it's a converted 60's travel trailer. One of my best friends used to be all about pushing the limits and getting out first ice, well his ego out weighed his smarts and he sunk our shack luckily the lake we mainly fish is only 6' deep but there were two guys in the shack when it went thru they made it out ok and we recovered the shack but it was badly damaged. His tune has changed he's alit smarter and leery about the ice now. Sharkey I know where your coming from it's something to be taken serious frozen water is a dangerous thing you can go from 6" to 1/2" of ice quick with a spring or current present. Few weeks ago I saw some kids crossing the river down here which with the fridged cold we've had was probably safe but I don't fuk with rivers moving water eats away ice real quick!
  5. I was waiting for your reply Rene.

  10. hahaha no wash, but I tell you what they were strange ass dreams hopefully he picked off some rabbit back there. When I was a kid we lived in a small sub division most people had antena tv our neighbors had a large tower on the side of their house that faced ours. When we'd let my parents westie out we'd have to check the tower because a huge great horned used to perch on it, the dog only goes 20-30# so we'd go outside with him if the owl was up there We get snows down here too a large part of rock county that was all prairie (now farm land) seems to attract them in the winter. a photographer friend of mine has found them there and in northern IL also
  11. After reading all this I am reminded of this.
  12. Thank you MAgwa great info! I was thinking of stepping up to a barns round for the exact reasons you stated. I've hunted a few different animals with hounds, my dad hunted mountain lion out by you that way, but he was 15 years younger too. The outfitter we are going thru has a walk in cooler on sight. Last year we had a bumper crop of blue berries and I know they gorged themselfs on them, hope for the same this year, I don't think they eat much fish in northern wi but I maybe mistaken. Thanks again for your input!
  13. I've got some mulberry trees about 25 ' out my bedroom window last winter for a week I was having dreams about owls. I normally have strange dreams but not the same "topic" that Friday night I come how and here's a huge barn owl perched out in the mulberry trees whoo'n away, guessing he'd been there all week getting in my dreams
