  1. I bought a LR308 DPMS for 965.00 added 600 in addons total 1550.00 shoots sub MOA and is really good out to 450 yards that is as far as I have worked up the dope on it , dropped a elk this years one shot 304 yards what else could I need??????? it works and did not break the bank...
  2. all you guys need is one good enabler!!!
  3. now that sounds like a plan......
  4. damn it looks to be about 1500 miles one way..... guess I am staying home :(
  5. I am still waiting to try this thing out it is still in the works I have just not gotten to do it yet will check with my guy today...
  6. BAR.... sweet......
  7. certain things are just plain good enough my 270 is the only bolt gun I own now.... it just works I would not be afraid to shoot anything in North America including a charging grizzlycause he is going to get 130 grains of pure barnes copper right in the noggin....
  8. yep and you do not need a whole lot of different bullets 130's do it all end of story... and ammo is cheap..
  9. I have killed 26 elk with a 270 and 130 grain bullets also killed a moose, many many deer, and many bears ,it is all you need in North America all this 300 mag this and 7mm mag that and short mags etc etc is just fluff in the wind to any good marksman. Most of my elk dropped in their tracks when struck in the lungs with a 130 grain bullet.... it just flat out kills. now the ought 6 is a fine gun as well but the lighter bullets do not fly as well as the 168's or 180's and their trajectory is like a big rainbow compared to a 130 ,270... so if you live in think forest or brush get the right tool the 06 but if you live in more open terrain buy the 270.. my LR 308 is the first time I have hunted elk with a 30 cal it works fine with 168's and i killed one this year atb 304 yards 1 shot dropped him in his tracks but I have killed elk at 600 with a 270 ford or Chevy I like the 270 with 130 grain bullets.
  10. buy factory gun 16 inch barrel 999.00 or cheaper right now then add accesories as you see fit.. saves a whole lot of money in the long run... my 2 cents

  16. Sweet what bullet did you use? did you hit him right on the pointr of the shoulder? I bet he dropped pretty quick congrats..... to bad those nasty old black guns are no good for hunting... lol
  17. No not that night this night was in August the exact day eludes me but I can find out they were playing in Oklahoma city Oklahoma at a place called Wedge wood amusment park the stage was a roof top we played first for about 45 min then they came on and played a few songs then Johnny dar a disk jockey from WKY radio came on a presented Kieth with a birthday cake it was a large sheet cake keith promptly took the cake and started throwing large chunks into the crowd till everyone was throwing cake in the first three or four rows it was funny as hell and I will never forget it . The Who that night tore their equipment all to hell I use to have a piece of a stratocaster from that night but it has dissapeared through the years... The Noblemen was the name of the band i played in.... OK his Birthday is august 23rd 1946 he turned 21 on that night in 1967 at the above venue....here is a little proof for those who may call BS LOL
  18. Yeah he has the dirt wonder how he got that dirt.... lol It was almost 50 years ago damn!.... long story short version I played in a band in the mid 60's we were good and we had some very lucky breaks we opened for The Who, The Yardbirds {all three incarnations of them} hermans hermits, Mitch Ryder and the Detroit wheels, Bobby Goldsboro, and a ton of other one hit wonders from the 60's had a couple of records that did well in the midwest and then I went into the Navy and reality caught up to me.... Got to meet all the Who and spend Kieth Moons 21st Birthday with him, met Jimmy Page Jeff beck, and took the late Kieth Relf (singer for the Yardbirds )rabbit hunting and I am sure I did other stuff but can not remember it all..... LOL

    Ruger SR-762

The thought of a 16 inch barrel on any long gun was not something ever thought I would do then I shot one, carried one, and I have never looked back, I have not touched any of my bolt guns with 22 or 24 inch barrels since they are lonley and neglected.
  20. I am right at 9 and 1/4 as you see it but i take of the bipod and anything else that is just eye candy for hunting and figure I am packing about 8 and 1.2 with a ten round mag and 5 rounds in it... I could go lighter by dumping all Iron sights.
  21. I would buy one but I use all AAC adapters so my cans will fit guess I better not run out of ammo..... :)
  22. Welcome from Idaho On the Rez..... enjoy your new toy .. and someone cop some tude for this man... hehehehe

    "Fury"

Saw it opening night it was to say the least sombering, it was very well done and tells a tale everyone should see and Hear, to many people today take for granted our freedoms that have been won and defended at such a high cost, it is a realistic look at what becomes of men in war when all their mission is ,is to kill the enemy.. I highly recommend this movie....
  24. when it rains it pours finished the pistol and now a few days later I get another stamp back yehaww.... 6 months 17 days this time it is getting faster slowly but surley....
