  3. Oy you know it! Its funny I went in the morning and there were three older guys there. It was all relaxed having a great time. Then the gunstore commandos showed up with no brains and just walked out onto a hot range. Didnt want anything to do with that stupidity.
  4. Already bought a DPMS AP4 just getting the tools together to fix anything that comes along. I like being prepared. Thanks for all the info so far.
  5. Had it to the range a few months ago. Got it zeroed at 50 yards and was going to go to 100 when all the idiots showed up so i packed it in. The TRX was added because I didnt like the solid rail from DPMS and was hoping to shave a few ounces off the rifle.
  6. Welcome from E Montana
  7. Thanks. I'll get the gauges on order next month. Is a field gauge needed or just the go / no go gauges?
  8. Thanks. Was a bit worried. Wasn't sure if it would mess up the depth the gas tube sits in the receiver. My ar-15 I was 40 ish for alignment.
  9. Installed a Troy TRX rail on my DPMS AP4 the other day and had to run up to 70 ft lbs to get it lined up for my gas tube. At 30 l s it was half way between holes. Did I over tighten it?
  10. Got the upper and lower vise blocks on order. I've got the tools for the ar-15 platform but need to have the 308 ar specific tools. Tools I've got: Wheeler ar tool ( like the dpms armorers tool) Have a extractor tool coming Punches ( brass, roll, and regular) Screwdriver kit Hammers Swiss files Torque wrench Front sight block (brownells) Would it be a good idea to have a set of go / no go gauges being I have a spare bolt?
  11. Part, gun smithing tools, and new binos. Can't find my other set since we packed up before moving. Hope they show up one of these days. :cookoo: Cant remember where half my stuff is for hunting and shooting.
  12. Come on guys. I know quite a few of you do you own builds. I aint the only on who would like just a simple no frills list to know what to have on hand.
  13. I'm looking for a list of tools to have on hand for repairing and maintaining my LR308. I have the basic tools just looking for a list of specialized tools now. Thanks.
  14. I find some of the craze fun. Other parts ridiculous. And pasts of it scary. Over all its not a big deal but as has already been said it will got to far and bite us in the ass.
  15. I agree. Our southern border is more like a war zone than anything else. Is there a site to actually see whats really going on in AZ??
  16. <lmao>me and the wife got a good laugh outta that.
  17. I like the new site. Seems a bit friendlier to me than the old one. My only problem I've had with my recent orders is forgetting out free shipping code here. :D
  18. Got some DPM Desert camo pouches and pants on order. Finishing my desert camo set.
  19. Got that look from the wife when I showed her the vid. <dontknow> You know the one that says "Don't even think about it!" :cookoo: I gave her that stupid smile and reassured her this would be the last one if I could get it. <lmao>
  20. I got the same guard but with the Delta Point upper. Installation was a breeze. Glad you like yours. Like you I highly recommend it.
  21. Every firearm I've ever bought was fired and not cleaned. Never heard of them being cleaned after tast firing before. I don't see the issue other than the chip. I'm sure Armalite will take care of it for you.
  22. I have a leatherman MUT and its worth drooling over in my opinion. I got the best deal shopping and taking my time on ebay. Paid 120.00 shipped. Currently using my new OHV from leatherman and am liking the spring assisted pliers. Feels very solid. Planning on getting another to pair up with my MUT on a vest.
