  1. Since the EOTECH is my issued sight, I have to keep it on life support with a steady supply of batteries, repair kits, and the like. AA's are cheap and I keep enough on my kit to keep it and my comms running. The last one I had ran off the "N" batteries and it was notorious for draining batteries. Not just mine, other guys as well.
  2. I have a couple of repair kits in my kit bag. You can get all you need from Lonestar Parts and Equipment to keep your EOTECH running like a champ.
  3. I want a LAW folder, but I seem to always find something else to spend that money on.......
  4. I highly recommend the KAK Industry Super Sig Buffer Tube if you decide to build another or want to use another Tube on your current application.
  5. Great video, Great information. Thanks for finding and posting it up.
  6. Dang. I guess there was fire causing all that smoke. Two good companies IMO.
  7. My experience with "The Sample List" has been hit or miss as far as deals go. Forums seem to be the best source for really good deals. Every once in a while, I will get burned.
  8. The man is the Swami Vivekananda of our time...... <laughs>
  9. Hot Christian Babes and a 13% flat tax is one helluva sales pitch.
  10. I have managed to pick some up here and there and have about 250 to 300 rounds of 300blk. I didn't realize that I had that much because i had been buying it all along one and two boxes at a time. I have been telling myself for the last 3 months that I was going to sell all my 300blk stuff and buy another bolt gun, I guess the fact I don't have the ammo shortage I thought I did might make me hang on to it a little while longer.
  11. ^^^^^^^We may get to observe how that theory works in the Ukraine if things in Kiev continue to go to hell. And yes, the Survivalist will buy dang near anything. A guy with the ammo trading theory bought a case of 35 Whelen, which he claimed he did not own, but would use it to barter. Seriously? I wouldn't give you a pack of instant grits for that whole case.
  12. :wwop: Or should I say this post?????
  13. I can't speak for the guys out west, but the .22 Ar and conversion kits are very popular here as well (just South of you). And those guys run though a metric ton of ammo at the range.
  14. I have carried a 1911 on and off duty for the last decade and I rarely even consider or notice the grip safety. There are rare instances when doing transition drills with thicker gloves (cold weather and Fast Rope) that you may have to repositition your grip slightly to properly engage slightly, but again, it is rare.
  15. I keep my eye on slickguns and other websites. You do take it in the shorts on shipping so you are forced to buy in bulk when the vendor permits, which due to all the hoarders, is rare. Around here, ammo is trickling back on the shelf, but it is nothing like it was. I am strongly supporting (money and time) candidates that are pro-2A for mid term elections in hopes that a conservative House and Senate will balance out the executive branch's aggressive stance. I am afraid that if things stay like they are, the ammo situation we are experiencing will be the new norm for the foreseeable future.
  16. I like and often you the above mentioned database...I, on the other hand, will never be the same after the bobbing for creep bearded man speedo commercial. :)) Although, for some strange reason I really want a piece of chewing gum.......dang....the commercial worked.
  17. Thanks for the videos. It looks like he has got an awesome team supporting him. He must have married a Saint is all I have to say.
  18. What????? I have to rewatch the video now!
  19. That is remarkable. He seems like an awesome guy. 109.5 is fast...especially on one wheel.
  20. Yeah, but nothing says you earned it like working that bolt like a banshee.
  21. So far the ruger mags are reasonably priced and fairly reliable. The Rem 700 SPS and Savage 10 are pretty fast handling as well. Off the shelf, I think Savage has better stocks,. As far as detachable mags go, H-S and Accuracy International are IMO the front runners.
  22. I shoot an SBR, I drink PBR.....on occasion. I am confused where apples fit in.
  23. Ah yeah......the ole 65b. That stung me on a bipod I wanted......
  24. Even if you could buy a 20 rounder for a bolt, it would be awkward to use due to its size. That being said, I really like these scout rifles.
  25. Fair enough.
