  1. Congrats! Good news is you should have some extra tax writeoffs. Including moving.
  2. Going with an offset on my AR10 rifle. The AR10T carbine has a Burris one piece scope mount with rails on the rings, so I will put a mini dot like the fast fire up there. Will post pics in a couple of days. Thanks again guys. Part of the problem is I am a lefty and my son is right handed, so I have to chose which one to set it up for.
  3. Thanks for that clarification. I use blaze orange TP.
  4. Yep real time! Actually I just put the batteries in without bothering to set the date/time. Either that or I am Doctor Who. Here is another. Look at the date on this one!
  5. Nice day up north today it will be frozen soon enough.
  6. OK, this year the morning of deer season, I drink some Wild Turkey, than go pee on the deer statue/decoy that the game warden puts out every year. Am I understanding all this correctly or did I miss something?
  7. oo00h! that's bad! LMAO
  8. DNW PTC. Pass The Cialis
  9. "Sisco IS dinner, BoBo!"
  10. As in " IPTBIMP PUD!!!"
  11. Make that " can't"
  12. What!? Can't hear you!
  13. PUD- Pick Up Depends.
  14. In the spirit of improving communications between members, and, more importantly, generations, I am offering the geriatric texting dictionary below, so our younger members can dig where us older folks are coming from.
  15. Smaller guy came back, did not see the big boy but Smile, your on candid camera! Just what I need to start the day, a bear pole dancing.
  16. 17 inches! Oh man stay safe.
  17. no, I won't go into details because like I said, they need to be left alone, but they never disappeared completely. They have a tough time of it though. Whitetail deer spred brainworm, hotter than usual summers stress them, and tick borne diseases affect them as well. But hopefully they will come back. If they can start exchanging genes with Michigan's Huron Mountain herd, which is entirely plausible, maybe they can come back.
  18. LMAO you win.
  19. if she lives by Butternut, I am not surprised she has seen Cougar. South and east of there there are some surviving moose as well. Not many, and you have to go deep in the spruce bogs to find them. Best to leave em alone to reproduce and grow the herd back.
  20. Deer are so down in my area,I am passing on hunting them this year. Also the Federal Courts are allowing the Ojibwa to night hunt on public hunting land in Northern Wisconsin this year. So that will depress the herd even more. It is not even worth going out this year. Not to mention the safety aspect.
  21. Robo and Imschur thanks for taking care of it
  22. Saw him driving down the road again tonight, he was near the trail cams so I should have some good pics tomorrow. We have occaisonal cougers up here, a lot of wolves and a ton of coyotes. With fisher or two thrown in. Last couger I say was on Hwy 61 over by Cable, WI Crossed in front of my car and sat down and watched me drive by. Quite a few years ago.
  23. Amen. Growing up I was always worried about them. Now like you say, I respect them. Grizzlies are another story. A totally different animal than a black bear. Very badass. Don't have near the caution or fear of humans. In the 70's had one around my backpacking solo camp in the Hebgen Lake area of Montana. Wouldn't go away so I climbed up a tree and spent the better part of the night up there. This was the same year a camper got killed and eaten in the Rainbow Point area out there. I was packing heat, but when they come through the side of the tent, it is too late. Discretion is the better part of valor sometimes.
  24. Here is the smaller one
  25. 350 feet from my house. A big guy and a smaller one.
