Talked to megowen on my barrel it's in contouring so would be a week or two left. I'm getting close gotta start loading up some 5 shot groups. They never answered me on my 18in SPR barrel might try Lija custom barrels see how they are. Got a build sheet already started on the SPR hope to get started on it this summer.

I had wanted a 308 ar for a long time so two and half years ago I contacted SI Defence and talked to Josh in building a 308 sass rifle in all FDE suppressor ready. It was all ago. rifle would be done in two weeks. Just had to email him the ok. The better half sits me down and tells me she is pregnant! So I canceled my order. Now I'll have a 2 year old on May 2 and if all goes well and the parts come in. My first build will be hopefully done. But it cost me twice as much as the one I had SI price out for me 2.5 years ago. But I wouldn't change anything. I glad I am building one myself.

There finish is lacking on the new stuff for sure. Mine runs flawless. But the finish is a joke. I have heard other guys guns though had to be taking to gunsmiths because they where all jacked up. I seen some info some where like they crank out like 180K 1911s a year. And nighthawk and Wilson are more like 1500 1911s. Kimber just need to slow up a bit and take some time. Been also hearing bad things about there rifles here lately to. Damn 98 that is a sweet stack

Lol ya just have the one litte girl at the moment. Who will be turning 2 here in a month. At the beginning if some one had told me you can go a whole year with out sleep and still function I would have said BS. Found out you can do it and longer she is finally sleeping the whole night for about a month now.

I would go with Dane on this one I been picking up just about anything I can get my hands on in .224 and .308 cause a loaded bullet no matter what grain it is is better then nothing.

I haven't talked to megowen in a month but last I checked April 20 was what they where thinking I hope it's close to that. Think i'm going to have them build me an 18in HBAR in 5.56 thinking about building mk 12 mod 0.
