  1. The G2 uses the same buffers as the LR308 G1. If you want a heavier buffer you'll need the AR10R-XH.
  2. I use LaRue LT120 rings with my Leupy Mark 6 3-18x44. Places the optic 1.285" above. The 1.5" of the LT104 was too high for me on a .308 AR.
  3. IIRC one of your criteria was weight. Reducing weight further away from you has a noticeable effect, therefore I'd go 16". If all you were going to do is bench the rifle then I'd say 18".
  4. BCM/VLTOR
  5. I've seen reports of charging handle compatibility issues with these uppers. Be aware.
  6. www.boltcarrier.com is a very popular Knight's armorer and has been putting together a lot of SR-25 builds together for people like you who snagged up the sets before the ban. I buy the majority of my Knight's accessories from him.
  7. Good work. I'm surprised considering how heavy their AR-15 handguards are.
  8. See build another one of our members did recently. It has virtually everything you asked, although it's going to be hard to find another SR-25 URX3.1.
  9. DPMS 18", carbine-gassed barrel. That said, a carbine vs longer gas system will have a noticeable effect on felt recoil. It'll also wear more harshly on the bolt lugs. If you just want to be different with a short handguard, why not just get a short free float rail? Sacrificing handling dynamics and reliability for cosmetics isn't really my preference though.
  10. So this means you need to upgrade to a rugged Nightforce right? ;)
  11. Midwest industries' weight includes the barrel nut and mounting hardware. You might want to check with SLR on their weight though (my intuition says that 12.5oz is too light to include the barrel nut). The 12" MI rail is only 11.8oz.
  12. I bought what was advertised as a new EOTech EXPS2-0 OPMOD, one-dot reticle, off another forum as a Christmas present for a friend (his GF asked me to find one for her to give to him). Unfortuantely, when it arrived it turned out to be an EXPS2-2 (two dot reticle) instead. I'd like to trade this one for either an EXPS2-0 or EXPS2-0 OPMOD sight. The OPMOD edition sight has a deeper waterproof rating than the standard EXPS-2 (10m vs 3m). Thanks!
  13. I agree with blue109. Consider the new MOE SL stock too. We love our Geissele triggers here. If you're only planning on getting the SSA, get the G2S instead (cheaper, but pretty much indistinguishable feel). I like BCM's handles for my .308s. The Griffin Flash Comp is another great device. How much does the SLR handguard weigh? Reducing weight in front of the magwell is going to have the most noticeable effect on how the gun handles. Midwest Industries makes the lightest .308 forearm currently.
  14. Just a note with PSA receiver extensions, make sure you get the 7075 version as they make a mil-spec dimension one out of weaker 6061 (7075 is milspec).
  15. I'm pretty sure that's only for AR-15's, not .308.
  16. It'll be even more awesome once I get one of those LAW folding receiver extension adapters like you have on your pistols! Here's to a black Friday sale.
  17. Yes it'll work with the AR-10 or LR308 rifle springs (very slight difference, but virtually equivalent), and AR-10/LR308 rifle buffer.
  18. Unfortunately the PRK won't let me :(.
  19. I saw this on a different forum. This is just your usual Russian mis-information campaign. They pulled a similar story when they invaded Georgia claiming that they captured a HMMWV and cracked all NATO codes because it had a radio in it and the whole comms system would need to be re-encrypted.
  20. Got it covered =P. Fixed :)
  21. I would imagine letting the BCG slam home is more consistent with how the gun operates normally when loading the next round.
  22. Only at time of transfer. I can make it non-SSE after that :).
  23. As promised here's a pic of the bomb-digity AR pistol Shibiwan put together for me. Behold, the Shibi-Blaster 9000! 24. If you're registered on LF look up the Duke and ADCO fiasco. ADCO screwed that guy over (he's a pastor, and a damn good dude). I was super surprised when that happened.

    XDS 9

If you go through Shibi you can do what I did and send him all the parts you want and he'll build it for you... It was easy-peasey.
