  1. Somebody thought I was awfully good this year... me >:D.
  2. Not that I don't like those guys, but unless you're willing to do some minor touch-up work with sanding/filing I'd go with somebody else for a lower. I've been essentially beta testing their AR-15 lowers and have been exchanging lowers with them every generation. The current gen can have the buffer retainer hole position out of spec.
  3. Gangsta style, or "Shield Style"?
  4. I don't see how it's more accurate to say no blueprints when the TDP contains more than just blueprints (and none of the M110 SASS TDP is released)... Even if someone did reverse engineer an M110, they still wouldn't have the exact dimensions or tolerance specs of the blueprints.
  5. Looks good to me!
  6. He's got a pretty poor professional reputation too. He hid in a ditch when his convoy got ambushed in Iraq while the rest of his team fought it out.
  7. All my stuff is QD. I end up taking them off and on more than I thought I would.
  8. Yup, you need the 308BS11 buffer part and 308BS10B action spring. Alternatively, you can go with the AR-10 rifle buffer and AR-10 action spring. The AR-10 rifle buffer and LR-308 rifle buffer are the same size and weight. Armalite is having a sale right now with coupon code "12DAYS" for 25% off.
  9. You could try heating up the carrier.
  10. Just don't get the ESS Crossbow suppressors. Those frames suck and barely stay on.
  11. Uh, this doesn't sound right. When you say DPMS carbine buffer, do you mean the short LR-308 carbine buffer or DPMS AR-15 carbine buffer? Either way that is not the correct buffer to use. In your original post you mentioned a DPMS rifle buffer and spring. Did you get the LR-308 specific rifle buffer and spring, or DPMS AR-15 rifle buffer and spring? Nomenclature is VERY important in determining what parts somebody is using, which is why I stress using the terms LR-308 and AR-10 (also DPMS has multiple patterns now).
  12. It's not uncommon for an upper to fit tightly to a barrel extension. It's actually better for accuracy that it's a tight fit (BCM specs their upper receivers tight for this). Use a hair dryer or heat gun to expand the front of the upper receiver then slide or tap the barrel in. You'll need the 7.62 URX barrel nut wrench. For other SR-25 questions, Ayan at boltcarrier.com is probably the best guy to ask.
  13. I either wear my Oakley Radars or ESS Crossbows. Have assorted lenses for both.
  14. So have you swapped out the grip and stock yet? lol
  15. The milspec diameter of a carbine receiver extension is 1.148" while the commercial spec is 1.168". Since the commercial receiver extensions are made of cheaper and weaker 6061 they need to be larger in diameter to have more strength closer to that of the milspec tubes. A milspec stock isn't made to looser tolerances than a commercial one (it won't fit on a commercial diameter receiver extension). Receiver extensions also aren't swapped from weapon to weapon (that's why the castle nut is torqued to about the same as a barrel nut and endplate staked into it).
  16. AR15 milspec also specifies material. Milspec carbine receiver extensions are made from extruded 7075 aluminum. Most of the cheaper "milspec" receiver extensions are made of weaker 6061 aluminum (PSA). That's why you need to read closely whether they say "milspec" or "milspec diameter."
  17. Longer receiver extension (you can use a VLTOR A5 receiver extension), uses AR-10 action spring (or LR308 rifle action spring), and AR-15 carbine sized buffers (start with H3 or H2 if doing adj gas block).
  18. I really don't see how the PRC is any quieter than the FSC... All it does is add another chamber and remove the tines.
  19. I remember somebody here bought one... They called SLR and got a bunch of good info. Why not go with an AR-10 pattern buffer system if you're getting an adjustable gas block. It'll be cheaper to swap around buffers.
  20. Would you happen to know how much the Switch weighs with the barrel nut and rail? Fortis only lists the bare rail weight.
  21. Sounds a bit harsh. You'll probably want to get a heavier buffer...
  22. Sand-table beer pong of course!
  23. MOAR STICKERZ!

    cam pin

The groove sounds like a radius for strength.
