  1. Yeah, available but really pricey. The gentleman was also interested in getting some CNC work done so let see if he bites and ask to see if I can get them at wholesale pricing....
  2. Wonder how much tannerite we can put in a 50-gal drum.
  3. Here you go http://www.amazon.com/Spec-Standard-AR-15-Front-Sight/dp/B008L6BCIO/ref=sr_1_5?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1418180496&sr=1-5&keywords=front+sight+detachable Or this http://www.amazon.com/UTG-Removable-Complete-Square-Assembly/dp/B001WIUM5W/ref=sr_1_2?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1418180625&sr=1-2&keywords=front+sight+detachable Or this (if you want a foldy type) http://www.amazon.com/UTG-Flip-up-Tactical-Front-Complete/dp/B001WIUO1O/ref=sr_1_3?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1418180625&sr=1-3&keywords=front+sight+detachable Rule of thumb is to get a high profile front sight post to match the low profile gas block rail.
  4. Welcome from AZ! Ask away.
  5. Welcome!!!
  6. Here's one featuring Tom.
  7. ....and then the ATF will be all over your ass....
  8. You're going to see some variance since it's headspace-matched to the barrel. As long as it headspaces correctly and the firing pin isnt obstructed due to an overly long bolt, I don't anticipate any problems.
  9. ...that's why I have my stash of 500+ FGMM 175gr BTHP just waiting to go.
  10. That's a good price for a blem. You really don't need a forward assist. The F/A only helps the resale value especially if you're re-selling the rifle to a couch commando or someone on ARFcom. A forward assist compatible upper usually runs around $60 while a cosmetic blem is about $40-$45...
  11. I'll be there, and I'll see if I can bring some extra cannon fodders too, esp the dude with the Barrett 50.
  12. Speaking of bullets, I was talking to the owner of Alco bullets ( http://www.alcobullets.com/ ) on Sat at the local gun show. Interesting steel or aluminum tipped bullets. He claimed extended ranges, increased ouch factor, and superior accuracy which made me wonder if these super pointy projos are worth checking out or not. To me it seems like the pointy tips will make them slice cleanly through soft tissue with reduced damage.
  13. Yep... unless the diameter of the tube magically changes when you put it on a 308 lower. :D
  14. Sure! I no charge transfer for fren.
  15. Darn it! Wonder how they're selling it at that price.... just checked CTD too and they're selling at $44.95. Guess I have to take a hit and sell them below cost! $45 plus shipping now.
  16. Welcome from AZ!
  17. No point sitting on these... haha. $60 for a stripped anderson lower shipped to your favorite local FFL? They are finished out of Cerro Forge pieces and have 5.56/223 caliber markings.
  18. 3x 50-gal steel barrels waiting to be shot at...... a ton more 5-gal pails.
  19. Welcome from AZ. ....looks like you've awakened the AR10 trolls.
  20. ....like them FOB (fresh off boat) Chinese grad students at the university walking around with white walmart sneakers with khakis and long sleeves in the AZ summer heat. They don't contribute anything to the class/program and always want to look at your notes because you're also Chinese and steal crap off your grad thesis for ideas. SPEAK ENGRISH GODAMMIT!!! Heh... just struck a nerve I guess. LOL
  21. There are NO MIL STANDARDS for 308 ARs. The reason why the M16/M4 has a standard is because the military took over/bought over the design patents from Colt. The closest thing to a 308 AR in the military is the KAC SR25, and that goes by KAC's standards. Putting milspec parts on a 308 AR still doesn't make the 308 milspec.
  22. It's a beater, so $70-80 for a cheapie M4 barrel that weighs about 1.7 lbs, and then take a dump in the restroom to lose some weight. Wanna splurge a little, go for a chrome lined barrel at $130-$140ish. Drop to a 14.5" barrel and lose another 4 oz or so, bringing the barrel weight to 1.5 lbs with a standard M4 profile that won't go flaacid on you. ....and no, I refuse to buy chinese crap. They've done enough crap to my other business with counterfeit products.... %@#^#$ copycat chinese motherf*ckers. BTW. Did I mention I despise the Chinese? I'm ethnic Chinese but no I'm not from f*cking China, that crappy shithole of a "commie" country.
  23. I can get 5.56 barrels in that price range. PM me I'll hook your lowballing ass up if you want.
  24. After the 308, the "M4" will be like carrying nothing. Aren't you building it up as a beater 5.56? Save money on the barrel, less headaches and after you smack someone with it and it'll still shoot straight reliably.
  25. You're becoming what we MTB'ers call a weight weenie. Get a standard M4 profile barrel. Save some money, and get a little more workout everytime you carry said rifle. :D
