Never had a problem with USPS. Always ship firearms with UPS.

Never owned or shot an LWRC. I do own a recently purchased LE6920, and could not be happier, but I am not an "AR connoisseur", and the only other AR I can compare it to is the SP-1s we Army had in the 80s. It is possible Colt was helping them out with a frivolous lawsuit, with the ownership changeover, and nothing much will change at all production-wise. However, I'm certainly no patent lawyer, but that theory may be a source for this sudden Colt hatred that's being spewed? Meh...mine shoots when I need it to, where I want it to.

I run .22s just for range-work warmups, before moving on to the expensive ammo pistols. I'd maybe carry a .22 WMR for CC with the Kel-Tec PMR 30, but those are hard to find in a reliable condition so far... Save up a few more pennies and grab a Glock: G36 is their single stack .45, the G30 is a double-stack .45 which also utilizes the larger cap. G21 mags, or the best of both worlds in the G30s-as slim as the 36. Generally you can find them used on Armslist in the 450-525 range. If the grip safety is a hang up for ya, they can be disconnected, to be a non-factor...

This is pork barrel spending at it's worst, bureaucracy at it's thickest best, and fubard in the end of it all as their comms will still be based on 1993 leftovers. The "suit" looks like what we wear for entries now, except with a Krylon FDE overcoat. BTW, WTF are these guys doing at the Chicago Auto Show?

Sucks: Corp. can write everything off as "expense" while the soldiers try to figure out who's in charge of which damage control. Try to step out of that vortex of B.S. and drama, personalities, etc.. It'll burn you out and further degrade your judgement skills. Hang in there.

I like it for quiet/silent mode, when I can't let the rifle rack 100% LOUD; just makin sure she's in there...

I would leave them hog-tied around the base of trees, with gags in place. Somebody would come get them, or they'd escape eventually. Attempt to finish the mission.

Where can I price one? Builds? Mags?

A friend of mine has the PS90, and orders the ammo on the cheap when he finds multi-cases of it, and some other guys at work split the cost for their 5.7s feeding frenzy. Great fun to shoot, the number of rounds you can carry with the weight advant. is insane. I had an FS2000 TAC and loved it. Wish I'd never sold it, but the M4s just fit me better. I know it might sound weird but for the bigger guys out here, the FS2000 is almost too small ergos-wise, for making quick shots. We're talking yoga so I could fold myself up into a decent shoot position, and then I'd lose my bigger picture vision, of downrange.

Finally saw it yesterday. I don't think there was a dry eye in the house. Now, what we do when we leave the theatre is the measure of how good the movie was. Saw the 1st glimpses of MT on the base. Looks like it was SNAFU in too many ways: no comms., support ships gone, enemy numbers WAY underestimated. Beyond SNAFU....

To fully 'jack this: Imagine a Nugent / Ventura ticket for '16. Don't say "never" cuz Kali got zee terminator...Ted did recently get a haircut. I'd like to sign the petition but there's a large void of information there, about said lawsuit, civil suit WTF it is. Edit: the civil suit stands, as all of the witnesses at the bar in Coronado (SEALs/SEALS (ret)) corroborate Ventura's side of the story. If the case was even the least bit questionable, it would have already been dismissed.

Oh yeah, check my thread in the Politics section with several links to the US.Gov bidding site: just (1) of those proposals is for almost 200 MILLION handgun rounds alone. Specifically, the one for .45 which specifies ..."any off-the-shelf" variants of .45? WTH? -

Bingo. My "secret" majic geuse I call it: Amsoil 75-140 synth. gear lube 1:1 with WD-40, in the empty WD-40 plastic spray bottles from F & Fleet. WD-40 acts as a carrier, disperses water, leaves the gear lube behind. It's what I used to lube chains on my race bikes, and now it's for everything. Put a Delrin O-ring on the bottom of bottle neck, under where you screw down the nozzle/sprayer, give a light shake before you spray to mix it up. -
30 years for killing a LEO? He'll be the hero of every unit he's in, until he's released. WTF is going on down there?

+1 here, and on your mention of the Trans Pacific Partnership agreement. The more divided We the People are, the easier it is for the corporate raiders to get into our pockets in every sick new tactic they have, while filling political campaign coffers.

Gotta feed those monsters too! :auto:

You know, you're not too awful far off, and maybe they're going to change the practice/qual. policies, not sure. What bothers me; we NEEDed to form a group like the CSPOA (Constitut. Sheriffs Police Offiers Assoc.) to make a statement about LE agencies remaining Oath and Law abiding servants. THAT speaks volumes. Another aspect which irks me is the beginning of changing the perspectives on who is the threat(s) to whom. It's as if We the People have all simply become "natives" who are standing in the way of corporate progress, and we all are suddenly in need of being off the natural resources those corporations are coveting. IE, time to get onto your designated reservations, w/o defensive weapons, because the oil and water tankers need unfettered access. Somebody link up the latest drill reports for Ohio N.G.-holy crap... Think about these latest gun grabbing activities: coastal waters with some of the largest shipping ports in the U.S.. Don't have to use much imagination to see the bigger pictures. Where have the recent shootings been, mostly? W/E coasts...

Well, we haven't seen what their (USPS) order looks like yet: caliber, type, quantity-they are just taking submissions for possible contract considerations. b.) So far, the history has been that these are orderings destined for Dept. of Homeland Security, spread throughout many different agencies. It's deceiving to say the least. I forget which agency it was, but it was not your typical "defense or LE" agency, and they alone had "ordered" some 800,000 rounds of .40 and approx. 3/4 of it was JHP. JHP is not an approved NATO round to be used anywhere, but only here on U.S./N.A. soil. Can't say this is for training purposes: I have NEVER worked for an agency that practiced with their designated HPs, may be it's different for federal agencies?

OK, ASSUming you are going to stick with a DPMS upper, here's a good research point to begin in, in the DPMS tech section right here in this forum. 1.) What is your budget, or is this a long-term (6-18mos) build wherein you're open to really $$ components? 2.) What will be this rifle's general purpose? All-rounder, hunt, paper, 3-gun, duty,...etc.. 3.) How patient are you? I don't know enough about DPMS specs to say ..." try checking out Xxx suppliers." Figure out barrel length/build from question #2: if it's an all-rounder perhaps a 16" carbine barrel, but if it's for long distance paper it's probably going to be a 20"+ HB build. I just passed on a used 24" HB DPMS build with lots of JP components, at $1100. I don't know enough about them to make a good judgement decision, guy selling seemed a little itchy/sketchy, so I passed. Research here, and learn some more...
