That is right I want an app that works on a Kindle Fire I have a home network with a router, and modem on DSL. I don't use a smart phone the minutes and data are too much because I don't have decent cell coverage. We use Tracfones when we are on the road. Never run out of minutes on them. We have six Kindle Fires on WI-FI. Reckon I can connect a Fire thru the WI-FI without a app? I'll see I just don't want to see Google and Apple products running any part of my life or business

I sent this email to GMG: I am more than disappointed that I can’t use the WIFI on my new Davy Crockett pellet smoker grill. Google screws all of us that have other brands of computers. GMG needs to develop some way for the other 80% of grill owners that don’t suck up and use Google, or smart phones (Data use costs too much on AT&T) Come on Green Mountain you are better than this! We need an app that we that are not nerds can use on Windows 10 or Kindle Fire.
  4. You got it!
  5. Would you believe this, My Mother used this recipe since 1935, damn that is 83 years....... I found it in her stuff when she died in 1980. My wife has used it for 53 years.
  6. Most socket torque wrenches are accurate when you are using socket attached directly to the wrench square drive. Using the crowsfoot at 90 degrees to the length will give you a slightly different amounts of torque on the nut remember that the actual amount of force your arm is applying is figured at the breaking swivel of the wrench the length of the handle only reduces the force your arm applies. .... and I may be full of bull hockey, too!LOL
  7. I don't have a dog in this hunt, BUT, I am familiar with the "minimum cost of manufacturing philosophy" Engineering is charged to produce a product with just enough reliability to compete with the standard established product holding a reasonable market share. Engineering reverse engineers a product and often purchases inexpensive components that function well enough to pass their lab requirements Basically their main feature is lower price. From what I have observed here on the forum PSA may fall into this category.

The Davy Crockett is really doing a good job, it is small but with just the 2.1 of us (2 adult homo sapiens and 1 WB Chihuahua). It is about good. I do have 2 electric smokers and a Char Broil gas grill for a large gathering of hungary folks. I haven't used the WI-FI haven't been able to software for the Kindle Fire (sorry ass Google Store won't allow non Google device access) guess I'll have to connect my smart phone. Maybe if Green Mountain gets enough requests they would make their software available TO Kindle users.

Change of pace..... Anyone else been using any of these Copper Grill Mats? I used one on my little GMG Davy Crockett for a rack of baby back ribs, worked okay, fit very well, no mess no fuss. I kinda almost over cooked them. Book called for 4 hours at 180 degrees, then add sauce and cook two more hours at 225, I cut the grill off after one hour at 225 and they were done. Okay, directions were for 2 racks of ribs...I only cooked one rack since I am the only rib eater here at present, I did eat the ribs before taking any pics.

  15. At your age I agree Actually age has never been a factor, The violent aggression is the factor! The gun is the answer to the violent aggression, It does not necessarily have to be fired to counter the aggression, if the aggressor smart and the victim is not so fearful the presence of the gun is enough to stop the attack.
  16. don't get me wrong but the moment that there was enough contact to push him to the ground that is where reactive violence is warranted, and why would you be armed unless that is going to be your response to violence enacted on you? If I am on the ground then it will be my response to answer your strong arm tactic with my form of violent force...Bang! and maybe another Bang!
