  1. Yes.
  2. I have checked everything. It's all level, straight and tight. I have noticed that when I adjust the rear sight it doesn't move. Stays right on the center mark.
  3. I dig the belly cut. Tele's and LP's were always a pain in the ribs for me. That is until I got my gut out there enough to take the pressure off.
  4. NW Georgia here. I was going to build, but after getting prices on good parts, it was cheaper to buy. AR15 parts are cheap right now but the 308 parts are not. I bought a Windham Weaponry SRC from Bud's for $1075. No way I could build one for that price with the same quality parts ans a lifetime guarantee. You do any hog hunting? I am disabled now but I can still shoot. I had 2 liver transplants in '07. Pretty much knocked my feet out from under me. But I have more time to do gun work now! Welcome aboard from someone who barely beat you on board.
  5. Yep.
  6. When I wore the badge, quite some time back, one of our lesser experienced officers took a call from a little old lady saying she had a possum on her porch and couldn't get out the door. The cop emptied his 357 magnum service revolver into it and the possum crawled away while he was reloading. I think he is the chief now.
  7. It all looks good to me. I used a Starrett machinists level on it. That thing will read a dollar bill on a pool table. I have done it. I sent an email to Magpul and will see what they say.
  8. I paid $1075 for mine and free shipping. Bud's Gun Shop.
  9. It's all straight. The sights are just not very adjustable. But I got my Leupold cleaned up and it will go on top.
  10. I like mine. My problem is the BUIS. I bought the Magpul Pro's because they are all metal and polymers on the front would be a bad idea. But I have the rear sight moved all the way over to the left and I don't think that is enough. Looking down the rifle it looks like it needs to be more left than it will go. I guess I'll find out when it warms up a little this spring. Too cold for this old man now.
  11. http://www.blacklabeltactical.com/tactical-rifle-sights-optics-scopes/mounts/b-square-ar-15-flat-top-riser-mblk.html This has a pretty good pic.
  12. Any good or bad? I like it because it doesn't have those Buick hubcap sized screws on the side. Just neat little allen screws.
  13. I would be in on a group buy.
  14. I think I am going with a B-Square riser. It's not advertised as a see through and it attaches with small allen head screws instead of those knobs that are as big as a Buick hubcap. If anyone has had a bad (or any) experience with this riser please speak up. In the past B-Square has been pretty reputable. They have been around a long time and are still in business.
  15. Thanks for all the replies. I will check out all of these.
  16. Looks like I am going to need a riser for my scope. High rings are close but still not enough. Any recommendations?
  17. Ahhh.... blue and gold. GO NAVY!
  18. I just got a Windham SRC 308. Haven't shot it yet, still waiting on scope rings. Very tight and I really can't wait to put some rounds downrange. The utube video of the plant tour sold me.
  19. Windham SRC 308. Range report when I can. I can say the fit and finish is good and she is tight.
  20. She came in today. Only AR I ever shot or handled were the 15/16 ones. This 308 platform has substance to it. Feels good in the hand and if I ever run out of ammo I can beat them to death with the BCG! Still cleaning the thick, sticky junk out of her. First chance I get I will see what she's made of.
  21. Only 2 speeds. Wide open and stop.
  22. You guys are killing me!
  23. Bought (rather I ordered) a Windham SRC 308 today. Now the clock seems to slow down as I wait for it to arrive. Are we there yet!!!
