  1. I gotcha beat, mostly 3031.
  2. Very nice mags, just super expensive.
  3. Remember if you want a pair, you need to order 2. Other than that, mechanix gloves last a long time.
  4. The Brownells mags still show no sign of shipping so I bought 7 gen3 25 round Magpul window mags from a primary arms sale. I did use the lancers this past week and while they are nice, they are just too expensive to have a large stock of them. I'll compare the magpuls to the lancers once they arrive. I think I'll cancel the Brownells order.
  5. I'm thinking the Wilson just jumped to the top of the list! I do like the Seekins and Yankee Hill too.
  6. How did you swing that? Did you call?
  7. Holy crap that's gonna give me nightmares! It's going on an 18" mid profile barrel, I'm making it a kind of long range, 3 gun, zombie rig.
  8. I just ordered some Warne extra high QD rings. If I like them I will replace my PEPR on my AR10 and order another set for my AR15.
  9. They are WW2 Bulgarian. Similar to a D-166. They were originally brass cased, 7.62x54r but I was getting so many case splits I decided they were only good for components. (Good powder too) They should have been .311 bullets, but I learned while loading my first batch they just dropped through the neck on my .303 Brit and 54r reloads. So I whipped out the calipers and lo and behold they were .308 diameter. They have a very long ogive, I forget the oal of the bullet. I have always wanted an excuse to buy a cannelure tool, this may be the excuse.
  10. I'm looking at a PA scope for my Ar-15 can't decide on the prism 5x or the 1-6, both have the ACSS reticle. But I did pick up a First Samco G27 grip for my AR10, and I think an Ergo grip for my Ar-15, grand total for both... $9.68
  11. I have had a few fake Harris bipods and just got a real one, for the price I like the real Harris ones. But they have to be able to cant.
  12. So I have the wrong bolt catch, I need to modify an ar10b catch to make it function correctly, but I have an idea on how to make the 10a work, and it it fails I'm not out much since it doesn't work anyway. I was sub 1 1/2" with ZQI with my back up sights. I need to Lapp my rings to see what the scope will do. My 180gr projectiles will not work with this rifle, when I seat them at the cannelure I get 2.92". Time to buy a rifle that will....
  13. Thanks to a member here, I got a kickass Harris bipod! And a new old stock alice suspender set.
  14. I gotcha bookmarked!
  15. The only time I ever sent a pivot detent pin flying was the one and only time I tried using the "proper" tool. I'll never make that mistake again!
  16. I did get out and look at the ACC, it looks like if I'm going with the suppressor it's the way to go. But I don't think I'm going to have the 1k it's going to set me back right now. ACC is discontinuing the 51 tooth design in favor of the 90 tooth so the 51 is getting sold cheap, but still out of my budget right now I can see how the eyeball fork would catch on things and end up pissing me off, but it sure looks cool. That one is pretty cool shepp, it doesn't look too terribly expensive. Where did you find it?
  17. ACE stock. I was going to buy one on Amazon, but I got it cheaper locally. Damn nice stock!
  18. I hadn't seen that one, whilst it's missing the eyeball fork, it looks to hide flash very well, and the price is less than the Smith! Not sure how to embed a video here. But I found an a2 vs Smith vs ACC
  19. So on my new AR-10A build I just went with and A2 cage, because it's practical and I wanted to keep it under a certain budget. I like the looks of this Stoner Talon eyeball fork, but I am interested mainly in flash suppression, and I understand in that regard, the Smith is the best. What do you guys like for flash suppression? I may consider a sound suppressor in the future, so if there is one that is threaded for that as well that y'all like, let me know. I'm not interested in muzzle brakes at all, just flash supression.
  20. That's looking pretty good! Somehow I ended up with an extra upper, so by law I must build another rifle, I think I'm going to head in that direction.
  21. I'm sorry, you lost me....
  22. I do have to admit, when you first posted the Elfman thread I was laughing over the double trigger thing, I still think it's ridiculous, but the other models look extremely solid. Would the Elfman ar10 be too much spring power for an ar15? Maybe I'll start with two of those....
  23. Beats carrying a pistol for backup.....
  24. So... Anyone have an opinion on the Elfman, vs CMC, vs BTE, vs Geissele? I was thinking the Elfman ar10 for my long range ar10, and one of the others (ssa-e) for my varmint ar15. Maybe another brand for my M4's (CMC or BTE)..... Damn I have expensive thoughts....
