  1. I prefer leather, lots of good customs for under $75. Those mad made material ones don't hold the pistol securely and flop around in your pocket.
  2. The reticle on the Primary Arms has the compensated reticle too but it also has wind leads and range estimation scales. It's just under $300. I Hadn't looked at the Nikon 308 so I'm not sure how much it is.
  3. I have the Primary Arms 4-14 with the ACSS reticle on my Ar10. It has a little more info than just the bdc reticle. I did just buy the Nikon 3-9 p223 for my ar15.
  4. Got these cheap....
  5. If I meet my goals before I get to that load, I'm stopping! I'm thinking a max load would be 45 grains, but no need for maxing it out.
  6. Yeah the day after I placed a $50 order.....
  7. I have 50 test rounds ready to go. I'm using pulled .308 180gr projectiles and the powder from 1940's Bulgarian 7.62x54. (Crappy brass berdan cases, beautiful bullets and powder) Previous testing proved the powder to be similar to IMR 4320 and 4064. 10 rounds each, 42, 42.5, 43, 43.5 and 44gr powder charges. I'm looking for just under 2600fps, and the best accuracy.
  8. The handguard was level with a standard M4 upper so the problem child is the bastard upper I'm using. I could change the upper, but I kinda like it. Here's the pic of my set up and micrometer. So if I had her sighted in with the large aperture at 100 meters then flipped to the long range, then adjusted the elevation wheel to 400-800 meters, where would I have impact issues?
  9. I'm a big IMR fan. 4320, 4064, and 3031 will do. I have Varget for rainy days.
  10. So on my "varnimter" ar15 I have an unknown brand of receiver, and works great, but it's .025" taller than my handguard at the rail. The receiver is an overbuilt (fatter) with no FA and dust cover. (Does anyone know who made it?) The handguard is a UTG pro 15.5" I have fitted it with a Magpul front and Matech rear BUIS and I have no concerns with sighting. I would prefer to use 45 degree A2 sights, but I'm concerned the rail height difference would seriously impact long range adjustments with that set-up. I could run the 45's on the handquard without too much difficulty. Can anybody think of some fixes?
  11. Prepped and primed over 150 ZQI brass, seems to be pretty good stuff. I even converted a few 30-06 cases to .308 just because. I have 500+ .556 in the tumbler now.
  12. Why is her bipod on backwards?
  13. Pick a brand and gauge of strings and stick with it, saves headaches in the long run.
  14. Ar-10 is done, and so is the ar15 pistol.
  15. Fire the damn thing.
  16. Here's my squier.... I have owned many expensive electrics but this is the last electric standing other than a project tele. I have a couple high end acoustics still too.
  17. Shoot it and see if it kept zero. If it did, add another foot to each drop until it doesn't.
  18. That is all kinds of awesome!
  19. I think Fulton is dpms. DPMS is on my Schmidt list right now.
  20. $80 is a steal, I wouldn't worry about upgrading, just enjoy it for what it is. I have a Squier with about $400 worth of upgrades, and if I sold it today I could easily get $100 out of it!
  21. The Del-tons I have gotten from Midway seem to be nicer than the others I have tried.
  22. That looks like a good deal, when you get tired of it, you could make a couple $$ reselling it.
  23. Buy a fender Squier electric, they don't cost much. Cheap electrics can be made to sound decent, cheap acoustics, just sound cheap.
  24. I have run over 160 of em down the pipe with no issues. Brass is pretty decent too.
