  1. Ok boys...I had to share...it's on sale for $14.95 per 20 round box. If your a veteran or first responder and provide proof you get another 10% off on anything you order. Link for discount: http://www.shootersproshop.com/index.php/m-fr-discounts/ Link to ammo on sale: http://www.shootersproshop.com/specials/featured/silver-state-armory-308-168gr-hpbt-blem-20ct.html
  2. Thanks alot brother...man I really didn't need to see that! Now I'm going to have to reevaluate a few things in an attempt to integrate this into my system. Hmm...decisions decisions. Buy once cry once right? This may take a while but we do have until the end of the year.
  3. I think it's important to note that 3 is all I have presently. I also have my eyes on the Mega Maten matched set and long term goal is for the new SR-25 APC. It's kinda like walking into the Class Six...you don't walk out with just one thing :)
  4. Well that's not going to happen! Although in my defense...the cost was $13.46 per box of 168 grain Nosler custom competition match cartridges! I mean don't get me wrong...I'm not a spendthrift but sometimes you gotta say WTF and just go for it!!!
  5. I swear if it were not for the Internet I would be RICH!!! Received notice that Silver State Armory is having a sale on 308 ammo...so of course I checked it out and with the 10% off with my MIL certified status I couldn't resist... Now have 1000 rounds of 308 168 grain match ammo on the way! I don't even have my build complete yet!!!! Dammit!!!! I know I know; I sound like a chic: but it was on sale...
  6. I run Raptors on all my setups. I know they cost a bit more than some other Ambi types but I just like them better. Good luck on your build and I look forward to seeing the pics.
  7. I want to add the Ambi upper/lower receiver set to my stable. Also noticed that Mega Arms is releasing a new M-Lok free float tube soon. Looking forward to seeing the pics.
  8. Totally digging on that retro look. Engraving is very cool as well. Nicely done sir.
  9. This right here is the right mindset. I've been doing something similar, although I did have a couple people at work who asked why I needed three M5 Aero sets. I replied: I like options :)
  10. Looking forward to seeing the final set up! Pics are nice :)

    Grilling

That t-shirt ROCKS!!! I think I'm gonna have to get one of those!
  12. Those that actually train the tier one types often times do not train civilians. They are busy training MIL or .gov types. I guess one could argue that the .gov types are civilians. There are a few exceptions... Kyle Lamb, Paul Howe (although I heard he was thinking about hanging up his training hat), Kyle Defoore ect.
  13. Welcome to the forum from Washington. I really like the Mega Maten set. It's on my to do list...
  14. I purchased three AXTS Raptor charging handles (5.56 type) from Primary Arms because they were $20 off each one due to the sale. Total cost for each was $69.99 which is an acceptable price point for me.
  15. Morgan, sorry didn't see your post until just now. I don't have a pic handy but I just weave the cable through all four "locking points" and then secure the two cable loop ends with the lock closing inside the pre-molded lock points. Is that really necessary with a Pelican case? Short answer is no but the cable works especially well with the lesser gun cases that have more "locking points ". I'll give you an example: the KAC SR-15 I purchased came in a regular hard side gun case, not as secure as the Pelican, Stormcase, and the like, so the cable was especially nice for my piece of mind. I will grant you that locks only keep honest people honest and that dirtbags will more than likely steal the entire case rather than break the locking points and attempt to hide the weapon in another manner until they can get it off the premises. Does this adequately answer your questions?
  16. You are correct sir...not that I would expect anything less. So...options?
  17. On a slightly different note...does anyone know where or if I can buy a NP3 coated 308 BCG? I know lots of options for Nickel Boron but I'd like the NP3 option instead.
  18. I agree, very impressed with the turn around time. I also received my USPS tracking number the same day as I placed the order. I have your website listed in my favorites now.
  19. Yup, used that before.
  20. Got my Aero Precision M5 assembled upper. Ordered it on Sunday and received it on Wednesday. I was hoping they would ship the two LPKs I ordered on Monday in there as well but alas it wasn't so.

    Hello

Welcome to the forum. Congratulations on your move to a more weapon friendly state in the foreseeable future!
  22. That tool came highly recommended to me so I made sure to order it along with the roll pin punch set from Brownells.
  23. As stated above M-LOK is easier to machine and let's not forget it's a Magpul design. There are going to be lots of options for it. Geissele only uses M-Lok for their rail products I believe. Keymod was adopted by Kac, BCM, and I'm sure a few more so it should remain in production for quite a while. I do wonder if the market will support both indefinitely. Time will tell. For now I say your safe with either for support.
  24. Just purchased the BCG Master Rebuild kit as well. I like having spare parts for when Murphy pays a visit! Appreciate your willingness to facilitate our forum's request so quickly!
  25. I use Tipton carbon fiber rods in conjunction with a bore guide for all my rifles.
