  1. Back on sale again folks ... Notified of sale this morning as an Easter sale.
  2. GRA

    MOAB

Best part about it is the MOAB is supposedly NOT the largest conventional we have. Supposedly the USAF has about 20 MOAB units currently on hand.
  3. Good point. Might be something that can be fixed on the reloading bench.
  4. Damn glad I read this thread. I used an AR15 rifle length gas tube for the 20" Armalite AR10 barrel. I'll order the right tube from Armalite now. Thanks to all who contributed here and explained things so well.
  5. GunBroker and it was actually in Texas. There were 2 more offered there as of last night when I made the purchase. Search term(s) was "Armalite AR10 carry handle".
  6. A1 rear sight parts and a carry handle for the Armalite AR10.
  7. From The Firearms Blog this date: http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2017/04/11/explosion-lake-city-ammunition-plant-leaves-1-dead-4-injured/
  8. I read that they had an explosion there today in Missouri. I worker killed. Haven't heard anything else about it as details were few.
  9. GREAT NEWS - More reloadable brass for this caliber. According to this article this change is effective immediately: (from The Firearms Blog this date) http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2017/04/10/hornady-upgrades-7-62x39-load-black-line/?utm_source=Newsletter&utm_medium=Email&utm_content=2017-04-11&utm_campaign=Weekly+Newsletter
  10. That ammo seems like it may be that Hertenberger ammo out of Austria that is sold as excess ammo from their military. Heads up; I remember reading once or twice about a year or so ago that it possibly had corrosive primers and some of it was in Austrian military supply lines back to the early 70(s). I do NOT know for sure if that is true or not (do we ever with foreign military ammo?) but I would make sure I cleaned my gun right after a day on the range.
  11. Nice. Please let us all know how this works. To be honest I've never seen one at the range or gun shows around here but I've heard about them. If LaRue sells it I'm sure you got the most for your money.
  12. I almost wish I had bought a second one of those Bushnell Elite scopes back when Natchez had them on sale and almost gave them away. They've since been discontinued and the cheapest one you can find new now is $800.00+
  13. Welcome from Gulf Coast Texas. Enjoy your time here.
  14. Now that's cool. Got to be one of the rarest ever.
  15. Marked down to $327.00 via GEARHOG purchase: 34% off the Vortex Viper PST 1-4x24 Riflescope from Camera Land NY
  16. I don't know if SG's info. is all that accurate with regards to both models (or all 4 models). From what I can tell Nikon has 2 M-308 models; 1- BDC and 1-Nikoplex. The BDC is what I need. Nikon also has 2 P-308 models and they are about $200 +/- cost difference between the 2 and I'm sure the cheaper model is the older P-3-8 you've referred to. It appears they've updated the P-308 but not the M-308. I'm not sure how long the M-308 models have been out. So far this is how I make sense of it all ... LOL What I'm concerned with he most is eye relief and available light. Where your scope is mounted on the weapon is about where I pictured a good distance to be. With a 30mm tube I should get the same or better light transmission, and most likely a little better. This matters to me with a noon-illuminated scope. I'm going to find a good dealer locally and go in to check these out soon and at a time when they are not very busy so I'll have time to check them all out. Thanks again for the assistance and please give us another update when you get back out to the range.
  17. Here is the higher-priced P-308 (from at least one seller): http://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/nikon-p-308-4-16x42mm-bdc-800-hunting-scope?a=2044986&_br_psugg_q=nikon+p-308 Here is the M-308 that is about $50.00 more (from the same seller): http://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/nikon-m-308-4-16x42mm-bdc-800-reticle-rifle-scope?a=1023114 The P-308 is showing a 30mm tube while the more expensive M-308 is showing a 1" tube. My understanding is the 30mm affords more light. I need the BDC reticle, or something very similar to it. Again, thanks for the information.
  18. Thanks for pointing that out. I did go back a ways in the thread but obviously I did't go back for enough or was in the wrong place. I'm glad you pointed out the new P-308 is the 30mm tube. I think all the models I've reviewed were the 1" tube but I could be wrong. Actually I think the side focus feature is new also.
  19. Nice case. I finally got my case in that I had to send back due to color. That 1740 looks like a deeper case. Nice that you can get every thing in one case especially when it comes to flying nowadays. Let us know how well it did after the the return trip and both flights.
  20. Thanks Morgan for the update and details. I've noticed Nikon offers 2 P-308 models. Which model (or power) do you have? I'm taking my time and researching all this. I've narrowed Nikon down to the P-308 and the M-308. One of the P-308 models is only about $50.00 cheaper than the M-308 scopes so I'm curious as to where and how you get the extra scope for the money. I'm also looking at Steiners and Trijicons but off course the lower priced models of these two.
  21. Did it seem to hold the zeroes that you did set? How much light was available in the lens maybe compared to others? Are the mounts the Nikon mounts? Looks great on the weapon.
  22. RIP Brother. God bless you for your service.
