    HIPERFIRE

Dont get me wrong I love my Geissele triggers. My current build of an AR only needed to shoot short range, 100 to 200yds. Occasionally out to 300 yds that being my max. So Im looking for a faster trigger, but also being able to do some precision shooting....... I will look into the Elftmann triggers.

    HIPERFIRE

My biggest concern is long term use on the trigger and if its had any draw backs with reliability, otherwise i think they hit a homerun. My buddy gun only has 300 rounds on his hiperfire trigger. So far so good.

    HIPERFIRE

Nice Shepp, I like how the springs seem simple to change. It seems to be well thought out design. Not much has changed in trigger designs in while. Besides the primers on some rounds not firing what do you think of the trigger?

    HIPERFIRE

Shot a hiperfire eclipse tigger this past weekend. My buddy and I hit the range and I shot his AR15 , then my AR15 back to back. We both have store bought AR's with 16" barrels with the real only difference is the triggers. I have a Geissele SSA-E and his gun has the hiperfire eclipse. I have to say i think im ready to buy one for my build after shooting this trigger. I shot 2 full mags out of his gun. The trigger is awesome. The reset is super fast. The pull is light enough to do some pretty good precision shooting but not so light where you feel unsafe with a weapon with a hair trigger. Any you guys have this trigger or any long term experience with them??????
  5. BOfuh, Looks like you will have yourself a very nice rifle when finished. I have the Luth-AR stock MBA-1 stock kit on my LR308 build. Its lighter and cheaper then the Magpul PRS stock. Very user friendly from my experience. Everyone has their own thing when it comes to stocks cause no matter what if your not comfortable shooting with it, then its not for you.
  6. Check out this guys finding on vseven buffer tube. Makes you wonder is the really high quality stuff is really lighter.
  7. Good looking out going to order them up
  8. Ok NP. I might sell it.
  9. I agree. I should just buy a barrel vise and a upper vise. Then im waiting to swap it out again. Probably worth the wait
  10. Hey guys, Swapping out handguard on my LR308 build. I dont have a barrel vise. Any advise on doing this so I dont mess anything up?? The current handguard that came with the complete upper is a tank!!!! Bought a Guntec 12" flat dark earth handguard a while back, new gas tube and SLR adjustable gas block. The Guntec handguard supposed to weigh 11.7 oz which if it actually does im sure its much lighter then my current one. Here some pics.
  11. Well i was looking at SLR or Superlative for my current light weight build. Im using a Faxon barrel just figured i would buy the gas block from them also.
  12. Merry Christmas. Hope it was a good day for all and a safe one

    First build

I like it. Never had a folding stock rifle. I am also using faxon for my barrel on my light weight build. Wish PA would come out with the 6-24x50 308 hud dmr scope.
  15. Quick tip buddy gave to last time went out camping as a fire starter. Most of us if not all of us have it in our homes. Lint from dryer. I bag it up in a zip lock bag and its free cause most of throw it in the trash. Works great. Super flammable.
  16. Lmao!!! Thats me with my bug out pack now. .. My buddy says to me " you can probably fit a little more in there just in case " .
  17. Yea your not kidding. The vortex 3x prism scope is 1/4 of the cost but wieghs 2 times as much.
  18. Thats light!!! That may be my optic then!!!
  19. JT i like vortex optics also. I have one red dot from them. I really like the EBR 5.56 reticle on the spitfire 3x prism scope. Its going to be for a 16" 5.56 build im doing
  20. https://www.trijicon.com/na_en/products/product3.php?pid=TA33-C-400130 This is 7.7 oz . Not sure if thats with the mount that is included or just the weight of the scope.?
  21. Yea i kind of figured if i want something light weight you will pay much more. Which i expected. The vortex isnt a bad option just trying to keep a open mind before i make a decision
  22. Alright guys looking for a light weight scope preferring 3x or up to 6x power. It can be fixed magnification or variable. Something with an etched reticle or permanent reticle. I have 2 red dots now which are light weight but trying to not depend on batteries. The lightest scope i found is the vortex spitfire 3x prism scope with the EBR 556 reticle. Its 15.4 oz. Dont know if there is anything lighter than this without using a redot?
  23. They also had Winchester bricks of 525 for $28.99
  24. Fenix also makes a camping lantern that im definitely purchasing. That will get used quite often
