  1. .45mm, to be exact. Can that make a difference? I mean, If I move a half a mm closer or farther? Seems pretty nominal?
  2. Hmm? So I bought this Weaver SPR Scope mount for my AR-10. Kinda Cheapy, I know, but it looked pretty solid with the 4 bolts per ring and all. So I zeroed it in with my Nikon 3x9 BDC at 100 yds. All good, scope holds zero even on my 300 winmag. I took the mount off (thumbscrews) to practice with my BUIS and when I put it back on my POI was 5moa low? That seems like a lot! No? Is there some truck I am missing? I tried my best to install the same way. How repeatable should my zero be? I can deal with 1 or 2 moa but 5?
  3. I just grabbed this sling mount off of the end cap on my shotty and put a nyloc nut on it. A little tricky to install but doable. I think it cost me $3.00 to replace the one on my shotty. Think I got it from amazon?
  4. Stuck this badboy, MagPull Enhanced Trigger Guard on! Looks way sexier now! That straight guard just never looked right to me. Seriously tho, I'm so happy with this Armalite AR-10 Tac16, aside from the trigger guard and moving the trigger spring to the lightest setting, I really can't think of anything else I'd want to change on it. Came with a hand lapped, chrome lined barrel, ambi safety, Raptor charging handle, full floating16" KeyMod handguard, super nice 2stage trigger. OSS Mussle device AND B.U.I.S.! Thing shoots sub to .5 moa with everything I've fed it so far, including handloads. I'm one happy camper!
  5. I'm over dating mil chicks. Ever since the last one tried to stab me in her kitchen because she thought I stole something out of her garbage??? (After telling me she loved me! Lol) Good thing I talked some sense into her because I'm not one to hit a lady! I'da probably ended up dead! PTSD can do some weird things to a person!
  6. I use SubMoa on my iPhone. It's free.
  7. You know you're old when you think this is hot! Lol But seriously, look at that fancy pistol box! With mounted spotter's scope! DRRROOOOOL! ❤️❤️❤️
  8. Thanks! Good protocol. I meant to add, assuming proper storage and not exposed to adverse conditions. Better safe than sorry!
  9. Thankfully we usually don't use our expensive, defense ammo as often as regular, plinking ammo. I just realized I have been carrying the same 40 rounds of defense ammo for almost 2 years. I'm curious how long do you all go before considering freshening up your defense ammo? What's LEO's take on this?
  10. I think I just met my future ex-wife!
  11. Might want to try a different charger? Gotta be something out there that works well with stick powders?
  12. It's large extruded cylinder, same as RL15. My guess it wouldn't meter too well. Not an issue for me 'cuz I weigh each charge. And yes, you weigh each kernel of powder. Pita
  13. I've been getting consistent sub/half moa with this powder in my 16" barrel AR10. Using 155 SMK, 168SMK and 180SGK so far with excellent results. QuickLoad says I'm getting 100% powder burn which is nice, keeps things cleaner. Apparently it is very temperature stable. I don't see many people using it in the forums much? I think it's better suited for the shorter, carbines as it's a little faster than RL15. Any one else have feedback?
  14. 70 rounds of 9mm, because I can't stand seeing empty brass laying around! ;)
  15. Absolutely, this is assuming same bullets/rifle/powder/OAL/primer, the only difference being case capacity. Math don't lie! ;)
  16. If you want to be scientific about it, you can measure the case capacity in grains of h20 of your standard load and the lake city brass and do the math. 41gr RL15 X grains -------------- X -------------- 56 gr. H20 win 54 gr. H2O LC
  17. Seriously tho, good shooting wash, I'll get there some day ;)
  18. Well Wash, it was actually 44 yds with iron sights. As I mentioned, i was adjusting my buis with this target, so yes the shots are not consistent. However, after getting her zero'd, I got 3 shot group of .5 moa (two touching) and one bullseye. With said iron sights. Tight groups don't mean poop to me if you can't hit the bullseye! Looks like you're off there a little, buddy ;)
  19. I said look, not buy! ;) It was at the range shop so ya, probably overpriced. Hell, I can't even afford the ammo at the range! Lol.
  20. Well, I just looked at a Mega Matten 1piece upper/rail and matching (bare) lower set and the fit was Virgin Mary tight! Better be! For a thousand bucks I could buy a whole rifle!
  21. That's the only reason I bought an Armalite. So I can say I have an AR10! ;)
  22. Also, case length is another important variable. The more consice information we enter into QuickLoad the more accurate the results! Best to resize, trim, then plug the flashole and weigh the case capacity in grains of H2o.
  23. Sisco, if you provide me 1: case capacity in grains h20 (average) 2: bullet length/weight (average) 3: powder you want to use 4: barrel length (optional) I will run some loads for ya. With barrel length info I can see how close you'll be to an accuracy node. Without true case capacity, it's a guesstimate, at best, as this can vary quite a bit. :)
