As you can see from these pics this can be remedied with customization or buying a Hi-Point with the $100 bill factory finish. The gold bejeweled customized Hi-Point pistol is fit for a king.

New Magpul D-50 7.62x51/.308 Win Mag

Excellent insight 98Z5V, I hadn't thought of this particular use case either but it makes alot of sense. I think that it's fair to say that it is irresponsible to not have at least one of these 50 cap mags. -

New Magpul D-50 7.62x51/.308 Win Mag

Yeah, I'm not necessarily sure what to think about these either. The cost and weight do seem to make them a pretty specialized magazine. Cool/badassery factor? Gottahaveit! -
...Yeah, I would feel pretty prepared for outdoor/off-grid with a PMR-30 handy.

In addition to Kel-Tec's two DAO 9mm pistols I can vouch for both the Sub2K Gen 2 (9mm G19 version) and the standard KSG. The KSG and Aquila minishells (I run the buckshot) are pretty much made for each other IMO. This ammo ran reliably and nice bonuses are that the KSG has a capacity of 11 + 11 + 1 Aguila minishells and recoil is light enough that you can shoot them as long as you like w/out any shoulder pain. While some Wally World Federal 2 3/4" 7 1/2 birdshot ran reliably too w/out any problems at all recoil was heavy enough to do my shoulder in for the day after one box. This was due to the light weight of the KSG and as with their pistols most of the recoil is getting passed to you.. If I were considering buying a KSG now I would probably hold out for the new KSG7 version that Robocop mentioned. The article below has some pictures and details for it and the new CP33 .22lr pistol. If you're not familiar with potential Kel-Tec product availability issues you should know that "holding out" for one of their guns, especially a new model could potentially mean waiting several months and paying near MSRP if/when one does come available. https://www.alloutdoor.com/2019/01/11/secret-new-keltec-guns/

Found an email from Magpul in my inbox this morning announcing their new 50 capacity D-50 7.62x51/.308 Win mag. Looks pretty cool. https://www.magpul.com/?utm_source=&utm_medium=&utm_campaign=Fall 2018&utm_term=&utm_content=

I hear you, more power to you Sisco.

My armorer is not a Kel-Tec fan but the shop he works at sells their products and the staff all know I'm a potential buyer. No matter which Kel-Tec product they pull out to entice me with I always tell him "Kel-Tec is the future, resistance is futile". I'm going to tell him this when I buy one of these pistols too.

I'm near Indy @unforgiven Have you seen this article about Eugene Stoner's birthplace? I grew up in central Wisconsin but am at least 50% Hoosier via my Mom who is from Clay county. I pass through Gosport all the time for family events like Thanksgiving and Christmas (have an Aunt in Spencer/Owen County). https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2017/11/22/happy-birthday-eugene-stoner-looking-inventors-origins/

...this is also why Kel-Tec is the future/resistance is futile ().

Good question and I have been wondering about this myself. It is widely available here in Indiana but I was brought up on Hoppe's and am hesitant to buy Lucas products though the family is a big deal here.
-
I second this and also freely admit to being a Kel-Tec fan.

I agree, the .22lr should have come first. I have always liked Kel-Tec's PMR-30 .22WMR pistol but never bought one as the .22 Mag cartridge is a little too exotic for me (my definition of an "exotic cartridge" is one that is not regularly available at my local Wal-Mart and/or Mom and Pop). Though I do not need any more guns I'm probably going to get one of these after it has been a production for a bit and deemed decently reliable as you can't have too many .22lrs.

Merry Christmas!

Started doing the Paleo diet a couple years back and have become a fan of hard cider as a replacement for beer. This went well with the venison I had for dinner this evening.

Yes sir!

Thanks DNP

Treating myself to a prime cut this evening as I'll be travelling for Christmas tomorrow. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year 308AR!

Thanks for sharing, I missed this one somehow and it's really good.

Nice! I really like mine. BTW Alan this video provides some good info on the particular illuminated scope Sisco and I are talking about.
