Yer an old guy if you remember this one, this was the very first crossbow sold to the public. i've had this thing since i was a young teenager. it came with wooden arrows.

I've only had one bow. a PSE mach2 i believe. i have an old recurve bow now that was my brother in laws. my sister gave it to me after he died. I can't even pull the damn thing back.lol. i have crossbows but i couldn't hit a bull in the ass at 5 yards with either of them.

Yes you can shoot both, never had a problem in any of mine with both. If you plan on hunting with it the 308 is a must unless you reload. for plinking the 7.62 is usually found cheaper. also welcome to the forum.
