I got me some of that DPMS action back in March; I'm settling into using it now. Just ordered a box full of 25rd 7.62 Pmags to get going, need more ammo. I'm modding the rifle beyond what I currently have; scope, foregrip, lower receiver plate & buffer tube (commercial to milspec), etc. so I can run it the way I want. I'll post again on this soon. PM me if you're a DPMS .308 fan.

Hey all, just wanted to see what you're currently reading, or just finished reading... I'm working my way through Unintended Consequences for the 5th or 6th time, not really keeping count.

BATF has a fresh black eye from yet another theft of firearms from their custody, and yes, this too involves machine guns. https://www.jsonline.com/story/news/investigations/2019/06/13/atf-looking-guns-and-glock-parts-stolen-and-sold-guard/1425467001/?fbclid=IwAR1wK59fAb06wwXqRb-sWncmjl9N3ncttNLuqj7IYMS9tTd7h5PmtKVd4eY

Thank you for the differentiation. I'll endeavor to be more precise for the sake of those who follow. -

And so if you have a xerox machine that's not made by XEROX, do you seriously refrain from calling it a xerox machine? This is semantics. If it's an AR-derived platform, it's an AR, even if it's not made by Armalite. Same argument applies to 1911's. But I accept your point about differentiation. I know there are minute differences between AR10, LR308 and SR25. I wasn't trying to pick a nit when I said AR10. I guess that's why I felt compelled to add that it's a DPMS. -

DPMS makes an AR10 called the Oracle. It's a flattop. They make an AR15 version too, also called an Oracle if I'm not mistaken. Brb gonna go to their website & see about pulling that up. -

Well I can't help you if you don't have the reading comprehension skills to see that I was stating an opinion, that should have been self evident. Sorry, I won't make that mistake with you again. -

What, now you're gonna call me a liar on this thread too?? An honest assessment isn't enough?? Because what I just said IS MY HONEST ASSESSMENT. I assume you know how to use a search engine, use it and look up "Kriss Super-V" and look at the articles and videos for yourself. -

Army Getting New Sub Gun
William Flatt replied to jtallen83's topic in Firearm Industry News and Gossip
Because I have a life elsewhere. And more to the point, I didn't bookmark all the original source pages where I learned about the Super-V and the Youtube videos where I saw it in action. Besides, I believe someone else posted that Kriss themselves CHOSE not to submit the Super-V into consideration, which assuming that this is correct rather makes it all a moot point. I'm just saying that based on what I distinctly recall seeing, the Super-V is THE next-gen subgun. I am sure that if people ask, there could be a 10mm offering, but really as long as our government goes outside the USA for weapons for our military and keeps the Hughes Amendment on the books in violation of the plain text of the 2A, manufacturers like Kriss won't have much opportunity to design, market, and sell SMG's. Governments really do not buy enough firearms to support innovation in firearms technology which is why the fundamentals of selective-fire small arms have remained unchanged for 50 years save for Kriss' innovation in redirecting the energy that would otherwise contribute to muzzle rise/flip. Having seen and understood how their design works, I remain convinced that no matter how "ugly" their design is, it WORKS and the dramatic increase in controllability on full auto makes this something that should NOT be ignored. But obviously the people at Kriss seem to think that submitting the Super-V would have been pointless, else they would have done it. If this assessment is correct, then that says a lot about our government, and that something ties in directly to all the gun control crap and all the politics in Army procurement that people already find disgusting about the government, and more. -

Looks from what little I could see that the Army didnt even look at Kriss. The REMF pogues that didnt include them should be taken out back and FLOGGED.
