Army Getting New Sub Gun
William Flatt replied to jtallen83's topic in Firearm Industry News and Gossip
I don't know if the Army even looked at the Kriss. But I do know that it's top-shelf quality. It will take all the abuse you can throw at it without breaking, it's wicked accurate, and it was designed for tier 1 operators. The original Super-V was made in .45 cal to prove that it could handle the worst possible recoil in full auto and yet put the entire magazine in an inch - to - inch & 1/2 groups. I'll have to dig and see if the Army looked at the Kriss. If they didnt even try, then they committed a felonious criminal act. -

I suggest you do the same with the Kriss Super-V. I'm not saying that B&T produces junk, I'm saying that Kriss beats them. Again, the Army done goofed. -
Well, after getting a few posts under my belt and getting to know a few of y'alls, I thought a proper intro would be in order. My name is Will, I live in N. central Indiana between Marion and Kokomo, I love my guns and I run them as often as possible. I'd sure like to get to know some people in my area so we could shoot together etc.

Nice. I just got a visit from the FedEx guy - dropping off the .40 cal cleaning jag I needed to replace the plastic one I used to have. -

Market conditions...

I don't want to see war on US soil anymore than the next guy. Wanting to see that happen just isn't right. But I have watched for the last 25-30 years as our rights have been eroded like a hillside eaten away by hydraulic mining, and I think that ANY freedom-loving American ought to recognize that if we don't do anything, there won't be much in the way of freedom to hand down to our kids/grandchildren, assuming that they don't get totally brainwashed by the leftists in schools. The leftists for the last 50 years have been drooling at the prospect of disarming us so they can put conservatives into concentration death-camps. I know this because of guys like Larry Grathwohl, who have gone inside radical leftist groups to spy on them, and I know because of my own personal conversations with radical leftists where I've lived most of my life, in Gary Indiana. These people are as serious as a massive heart attack. They WANT to kill TENS OF MILLIONS of people who refuse to accept their way of thinking! It's too out-there to not be real; yes truth is stranger than fiction. If people are that hell-bent on eliminating everyone that disagrees with them (and they're not some tiny minority), then I think it behooves us to be well-armed, well-trained, and well-prepared. Because either we ignore the loonies and deceive ourselves into thinking they'll just 'go away', or we prepare for the day when they will need to be dealt with. Again, I don't want war; but likewise I don't want to stand before my Creator, Almighty GOD, and have to explain to Him why I did nothing to protect and defend the LIBERTY that He gave us all!! -

No, I bought it for the good practice I'd get from a .308 rifle rather than the 5.56 I already have, but honestly I'm a defensive firearms collector. The 2nd Amendment has NOTHING to do with hunting or mere target practice, and I see no point in pretending. -

I've been on a buying spree since I got my tax check back. First I bought my AR10 (DPMS Oracle). Got a Springfield 1911, and another .45, the Springfield XDE. My latest package in the mail (as of yesterday), A new scope/laser combo, new combat boots on sale (already have a couple but good boots are priceless), and 3 sets tops/pants of multicam fatigues. O, and more cleaning patches because I keep going through those like water through a hose. -
What made you decide to move to the 308 AR/AR-10 Platform?

What jeans are you wearing?

Nothing disgusts me more than corporate virtue-signaling. When they do this sh!t, I stop doing business with them. -

I don't, that's yet another antigun company that virtue-signals waay too much against good American values. -
5 years and no bumps or other traffic on this thread??? Where are all the Hoosier Riflemen??

Market seems fine to me, just bought my first .308 3 months ago (I know, what took me so long, eh?) and I paid only $750 for my DPMS. Walked into a Dunham's Sports on a lark, saw the rifle, saw the price, and melted my plastic instantly just so I could get that sweet deal. Now I have to start stocking up on 7.62x51 so I'm ready for CW2 when the Commiecrats take over... -

Wranglers for me too. I haven't owned any Levis for 30 years or so. I stopped wearing them when they started getting ridiculously expensive. -
Army Getting New Sub Gun
William Flatt replied to jtallen83's topic in Firearm Industry News and Gossip
Honestly I would've thought the Kriss Super-V would've clinched the contract! Its' revolutionary design eliminates muzzle rise and DRAMATICALLY improves accuracy in full-auto! Super-V recoil elimination technology should exist in ALL calibers/machineguns. But this wouldn't be the first time the Army F***ed up and went with what they KNEW was an inferior product just so they could stroke their ego and get off on their personal prejudices. It's the reason why the US military rejected what became known later as "the right arm of the free world", the FAL. And the FAL is STILL an awesome rifle! All this because some overcompensating Army "rear with the gear" POGUE could foist absolute control over the entire military from his small office. -

For me, it's about the fact that this country is overdue for conflict on our own soil, based on the precedent of history, and the fact that the Left and Everyone Else keep getting more and more polarized. Leftists keep initiating force on others, and demanding the same from Leftist politicians (when Leftist politicians aren't themselves exhorting the Useful Idiots to assault conservatives). Additionally, Leftists keep pushing harder and harder for stripping us of the right and the ability to defend ourselves from them. So, Civil War 2.0 here we come! If we are to have a civil war, then .308 seems the right caliber that will help me punch through those who would seek harm against me. 5.56mm simply lacks the ability to punch through.
