Factory Armalite AR10 20 ROUND MAGAZINES, NEW
Steve crawford replied to Throck's topic in For Sale or Trade
Those are good looking mags. If I only had an AR 10 rifle. They won't fit my DPMS LR-308. -
Is the PPU brass or steel case? 😕😕😕 Steve

Most of the time I try to keep my mouth shut. I also try to say please and thank you. I am to old to be meeting someone in the front yard. It would not turn out well for me. Steve

The older you get. THE QUICKER IT ADDS UP. Just sayin from 53 years old to 73 years old it got 10 times worse than from 33 to 53. 🥴🥴🥴 Steve

How the world has changed. I went to college for a while. My room mate turned 21 and wanted to buy a pistol. He sold me his 22 cal. rifle so he could buy a 22 cal. pistol . We would then each buy a brick of 22 ammo every month and after class two or three times a week, we would load up our guns from the dorm to his car and drive down to the creek where everybody else would go to shoot. Then back to the dorm to clean guns. That WAS the good old days. 😊😊😊 Steve -
trouble getting scope square to bore
Steve crawford replied to Steve crawford's topic in Optics & Mounts, BUIS,Sights
as long as you don't change the elevation or windage settings it will work. If you want to dial up the elevation for a long shot you also have to change the windage to match. Then if you dial in an adjustment for windage you then have changed the point of impact on the elevation. This has greater effect the longer the range of the shot. Just what I have learned from the instructions that came with my Wheeler Scope Level Kit. Steve -

Thanks I understand what they do but I am not sure just where to use them for this application. Sometimes I over think things. Like you said, a picture is worth a thousand words. Steve -
Not good. My lower back just wore out. Had 2 disk removed and bone fussed. Wish I had taken a friends advice and gone to Dallas area and had artificial disk put in. It's so much better now but it still hurts. The Doctor didn't get my back straight when they fused the bone. Still have a little curve in my spine. Good luck and may everything work out well for you. I don't know if these will help. I sometimes have trouble explaining what I am trying to say. The ring on the rear is not tight. I use a torque driver to tighten the caps in a X pattern. I will tighten the rear ring when I get the scope aligned the way I want. -

trouble getting scope square to bore
Steve crawford replied to Steve crawford's topic in Optics & Mounts, BUIS,Sights
I am talking about when I look through the scope the vertical cross hare is not straight up and down through the bore of the rifle. It is always just off a little left or right. When try to change it I go to far the other way. I guess I will just have to keep trying to tweak it until I get it wright. I have a 20 MOA mount and I can easily see the cant of the scope front to rear. -
Can't find a way to use my Wheeler scope levels to get my scope square to the bore of my LR-308. Every time I think I have it I am off just a little. I started using the levels when I had trouble with a bolt rifle. Every time I would go up 2 or 3 clicks at 100 yards I would have to move right 1 click. I can't find a way to use the magnetic base of the level on the aluminum (?) upper of the rifle and the top cap of the Athlon scope does not seam to be as flat as my other scopes. I know that the longer the shot the more it will be off if I don't get it wright. 🥴🥴🥴 Steve

Yes, it's bad enough when I start loading arm loads of black rifles and pistols in the back seat of my pickup for a range trip. 😁😁😁 Steve P.S. I don't get to the range very often now days -
It's already working through the UPS system coming my way. They don't let any grass grow under there feet when they get an order. 😁😁😁 Steve

I would just like to have a place to set up a few of them. I own about a 1/3 acer in the south part of town. Neighbors would frown on me setting on my roof with a deer rifle. Steve -

Not local but in my state. Larue Tactical . Ordered midmorning and It is on the way . Already shows up on UPS tracking for delivery 8/10. NOW THAT IS FAST. I ordered from Primary Arms day before yesterday and it shows delivery 8/10 on FedEx. That ain't bad either. Both are in Houston, I'm in West Texas. About 400 miles away. 🙂🙂🙂 Steve -
