  1. Well, spent some time with Geissele about any options to increase the weight of the break. They stated that the SSA spring swap wouldn't make a noticeable change on break weight. So, a different trigger is on its way. I love the feel of the SSA-E, but the light break requires too much focus for me to control when sending a round takes place. Will test the SSA-E and the replacement to see which works best for me.
  2. I read on another site that the top of the arc for that 4 mile shot was estimated at 2500 feet.
  3. Yes, I have 3 of them already and absolutely love it.
  4. About 300.
  5. I still vote PSA 3.5lb flat trigger. Like an on/off switch. Zero take up. Tiny reset. Debating rather I should replace my SSA-E on my AR-10 with the PSA. Every one of my other ARs have the PSA. They are that good.
  6. Now I have to find the next thing to break and fix... 😉
  7. So, I picked up a PA-10 Gen 3. It shot well. Zeroed quickly. Operated reliably out of the box. Felt like there was room for economical improvement. So, I put it under the knife and the results are quite good. Stock - 20" Heavy Barrel - Giselle SSA-E trigger Sorted - Sprinco Orange - Spikes Tactical Heavy Short Buffer - Breek Arms Warhammer 2 Charging Handle - Hogue Modular Grip - Faxon 18" Big Gunner Barrel - Burris Fullfield E1 4.5-16x - Magpul QD Bipod Runs well. Shoots better than I can. Reliable. Comfortable. Fairly affordable.
  8. Definitely on my list to keep an eye on. The smaller BCG is surprisingly light and has a single bolt.
  9. I just keep progressively getting larger (that's what she said). 22 > 9 > 45 > 556 > 762x39 > 308 Maybe 50 BMG in another year or two...
  10. Went to the range today. The PA-10, Sprinco Orange, and Spikes Tactical ST-X1 make for a smooth shooting rifle. Thanks all for the feedback.
  11. Well, after some research, decided to try the Spikes as it is listed a little heavier. Will report how it goes...
  12. Thanks for the detailed response.
  13. Thank you. I currently have a 3.8 oz with SprinCo Orange and was considering if the investment would be worth it.
  14. Searched the threads and didn't find anything, so, has anyone used the KAK Heavy Short Buffer in the 308ARs? If so, what are your thoughts / experiences? LR-308 CARBINE HEAVY BUFFER (kakindustry.com)
  15. I just put the Warhammer Mod-2 in my 308. Absolutely love it.
  16. Rounding. 14.6 actual.
  17. 12 with bipod (Magpul), sling, and optic. 15 ready to fire.
  18. Thank you. Will try moving forward a bit.
  19. Pics as requested...
  20. Still working through my AR10, getting everything just right. I find my self not quite comfortable with my optic on high or medium rings. One seems a tad high, the other a tad low. So, I wondered, how does everyone else mount theirs? Any special tips or tricks? Currently have a PA-10 with Burris E1 4-14x on high rings. I have to just slightly lift my cheek off of the CTR stock and the sight picture is perfect.
  21. Correct, I added those. All I can say is that this thing seems to love cheap ammo.
  22. Stats: PA-10 20" SS SSA-E trigger Magpul 10/20 round gen 3 Ammo - cheap Tula and Bullets 1st 147gr Received rifle, dismantled upper and cleaned with Shooters Lube. Oiled liberally with Shooters Lube and let sit about a week. Went to the range and ran 100 B1s through it without issue. Sighted in and runs great Ordered Springco just because I put them in everything.
  23. Guess I am the lucky one. Worst issue I have had is the extremely light SSA-E trigger. Heavy? Yes. I have been running cheap Tula (not accurate) and Bullets 1st 147gr. Really surprised by the B1s.
