  1. I added a banner for Ballistic Reload on the right side of the forum. These folks contacted me a while ago but I kind of dismissed them thinking they wouldnt last long. Well I was wrong so I caved and added them to the list. They are kind of interesting in that every day they offer a single shooting product at usually a substantial savings over the going rate. I have seen some great deals on sights, free float handguards and such. I do not know who is behind them and I have not ordered from them. Anyhow I think they are worth checking out. If anyone has used them let us know
  2. For those interested we have a thread on the Dueck here.
  3. You need one of these buddy <munch>
  4. they do you just never know when they will ship it. FA has awesome service
  5. Its a FA labeled DPMS blister pack kit. They arent going to remove the items you dont need. It's essentially this without a trigger.
  6. This means there's nothing in a distribution channels. Unless we can get confirmation from Bushmaster we can only prove they made two rifles. The ones in the photo's. Who knows how this will play out in the hands of DMPS
  7. there is pricing but zero units in the pipe line. I have a message in to Bushy as well
  8. Model 1 Sales is selling AR-10 uppers with Krieger National Match Barrels, Armalite BCG's,Charging Handles and FFHG's. Im thinking of grabbing a barrel.
  9. I put together a drilled down search at brownells here for you. It's not perfect but you see some relevant non free float two piece handguards. Doublestar,Daniel Defense,YHM and MI are all good choices. All about the same price range too.
  10. This is new to Brownells. Check it out here.
  11. Welcome!

  15. Welcome!!!
  16. you did the right thing man <thumbsup>
  17. I think Troy might be your only non DPMS option thats available at this time. Are you hell bent on the Leupold? In that price point a Nikon Monarch or Buckmaster might be better with maybe a Bushnell or Nikon mount. You can even swap out turrets for target turrets at a later date. Food for thought
  18. Armalite offers some nice cases as well. Below is one example The following are requirements met when qualifying Startlight Cases with the military standard MIL-C-4150J for advanced applications. 1. Drop Test: The drop test was conducted with the cases conditioned from -65 degrees F to +165 degrees F and then dropped 40" onto the steel plate with 6" of cement backing. The cases were loaded with 20 lbs. of lead weight then dropped on every corner, edge, and face a total of 26 times. At no time did the cases show damage other than surface scratches. 2. Leak Test: This test is conducted in conjunction with the drop test. After passing the low and high temperature drop tests, the cases were subjected to a leak test of 4 psi pressure inside. It was submerged for three minutes at this temperature with no leakage. Under normal temperature conditions, using our pressure equalization valve the pressure inside the case is greater than the pressure outside. This insures no leakage. The U.S. Navy tested the SC-061016 to 100' in depth (40 +PSI) at the White Oak Weapon Station in Maryland and the case did not leak. 3. Weight Test: The same case was subjected to a stack of cases that have weight in them so the combined weight on the bottom case exceeds 600 lbs. The case passed the test with no deformation of the case when the weight was removed. 4. Fungus resistance: The case could not support or promote any fungus growth during a 28 day test where various spores of different variety were tested to determine if the case would support or produce any fungus growth. None occurred. 5. Environmental Requirements: The case was subject to a two week diurnal test in where the case was placed in a humid environment and the temperature was cycled to determine if any condensation would take place in the case. None Occured. 6. Rust Test: The spring loaded handles on the cases are zinc-plated ad then black oxidized so they will not trust. They have been certified to pass the 100-hour salt spray test. This is the equivalent to placing the handle in salt water for 10 years. No rust occured.
  19. If you bump this next Wednesday I can see if the sku's are in any of the distributor catalogs
  20. Personally I wouldnt go directly to DPMS for anything unless your a very patient person. I have not heard of anyone going to dpms for this. The DPMS is proprietary and relatively new in it's current configuration. Not sure if they manufacture it themselves or farm it out. You wont find the exact one under a different brand name. If your stuck on having them do it be certain you have the part in hand to send with the weapon. If you plan on sending the weapon and having them pluck a quad rail from the shelf for installation you will be setting yourself up for frustration. I like DPMS products as long as I can buy them elsewhere. They make things in long runs with focus on military contracts and such. Weapons and parts for consumers trickle out steady but slow. I know this isnt what you want to hear. An alternative plan would be get the rail and go to someone else who does custom work. Im thinking maybe ADCO. Probably worth a call.
  21. We never hear anything out of them. Have you called? In the past Bushmaster released products pretty quick after announcing them. Maybe a different world now after the move from Maine.
