  1. can any of these newer calibers succeed without NATO adopting them? Using standard mags is a plus for sure.

  11. I had some dialog with these guys today. Ballistic Advantage LLC We do provide 308 barrels for the AR platform. We stock DPMS style barrel extensions with broached lugs. We have the dimensions for the use of an Armalite extension if the customer provides one. We are currently building our inventory so we can sell more from an in-stock basis but we are still providing custom barrels made to order as well. Our next steps for the 308 platform are to start providing 22-250 varmint barrels followed by 243 win and 338 fed. We offer standard chrome moly, match chrome moly, and match stainless. Chrome moly barrels can be parkerized or melonite coated and stainless barrels can be provided bead blasted or IonBonded. We turn our barrels with gas port locations that allow the use of AR15 gastubes (carbine, midlength, intermediate, and rifle). We also are just starting to offer dimpling as well as fluting. We offer lengths from 10.5" to 22".

  13. I didnt even realize they existed. <dontknow>
  14. It will be worth even more if you dont want it in a few years....I say go for it.
  15. I should have it by midweek. Its coming to the office so I can draw it up on the spot. I suspect this is more of DPMS making guns and parts that only fit nicely with their stuff. They want to make more parts they cant deliver in a timely fashion ::)
  16. I actually emailed Magpul today with a product suggestion. Make a fixed stock with similar lines, appearance and ergonomics of an extended UBR and replace A2 buttstocks everywhere.
  17. Welcome, glad to have you here <thumbsup>
  18. not sure until I have the barrel in hand. The two DPMS blocks are nearly $100 :o
  19. I spoke with CMMG again. It sounds like they will be offering a full line of 308 parts too. Another barrel and bolt carrier group source that doesnt rely on existing supply manufacturers is welcome imo.
  20. I pre-ordered the Nikon D7000 from amazon.com. It's been labeled the replacement for the D90. In reality it's a lot more than that and a monster on paper. In addition to being a DSLR it will shoot 1080p video. I cant wait until it arrives. For those in the market for a good camera the D90's are going to be going down in price as they are obsoleted. Im keeping my D90 still.
  21. Ok I dont want to go with yet another PRS. I cant stand the A2 buttstock. Is a UBR an "Adjustable" stock like the PRS? <laughs> Any recommendations?
  22. Midway had the 308 18" SASS Fluted, Black Teflon Coated for $229. How could I NOT order one.

    CMMG Triggers

Depending on the type of bronze they use it could possibly wear the trigger pins before it wears itself. If they used bronze that's meant to be a bearing it should be fine. If they used brass that's another story. Im curious as to how the bronze is secured in place. I may try one in my .22 if nobody reports using one
  24. A good guy at my 22 site use olive drab krylon often. He skips the floor though. Is your toilet FDE?
