  1. No shock here on Vermont. It's run by "Flatlanders" folks from Ct, NY and Mass that loved the postcard Vermont life so much that they moved their and force their influence on locals. Also make no mistake Vermont has a lot of residents hooked on state aid.
  2. This Monday might be the only chance for your voice to be heard before legislators craft legislation that will seriously affect not only your Second Amendment rights, but also rifles and magazines you currently own. Connecticut manufacturers including Colt, Mossberg, Stag Arms, Mec-Gar, OKAY Industries, Ruger and Metalform will be directly affected by this legislation, resulting in the loss of good paying jobs and badly needed tax revenue to the state. The hearing will occur Monday at 10 a.m. at the Legislative Office Building in Hartford. Sign-ups and lottery selection for testimony will occur at 9 a.m. Even if you do not plan on testifying please make every attempt to attend. Speaker order will be determined by a lottery at 12:15 p.m., and public testimony will begin at 1:30 p.m. Speakers will be limited to 3 minutes of testimony. You may also choose to bring 30 copies of your testimony to share with members of the Task Force. Those arriving after the completion of the lottery will have their names placed at the end of the speaker list. Gun Violence Prevention Working Group Public Hearing Monday, Jan. 28, 2013 Legislative Office Building 10 a.m., Room 2C There are numerous anti-gun proposals being considered by the legislature. For example, CT Against Gun Violence has proposed an outright confiscation or destruction of firearms and a ban on the use of roadways for the transportation of firearms and ammunition legally purchased. Click here to view the far-reaching proposals. Even the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities (CCM) has proposed a long list of restrictions including registration database of all firearms and limiting purchases to one firearm a month not just handguns but long guns as well. Some legislators want outright bans and onerous restrictions through an enormous number of Anti-Gun Bills. Here are a just few of the items included in one of their proposals: [list type=disc] [*]A ban on all modern sporting rifles classifying them as "Assault Weapons." [*]Arbitrarily restricting the magazine size to 10 rounds and now even 5 or 6 rounds. [*]Confiscating all magazines holding more than 10 rounds, pistols included. [*]Statewide gun registration for all firearms. [*]Re-registration every 2 years with ever increasing fees. [*]Requiring permits for any rifle with a pistol grip. [*]Limits on how much ammunition you can purchase and possess. [*]Registration of all ammunition purchases. [*]Banning of internet sales of ammo in Connecticut. [*]Mandatory gun storage laws, like the one the U.S. Supreme Court struck down in the Heller decision. NSSF is urging all gun owners, sportsmen and hunters to attend Monday's public hearing to be held in the Legislative Office Building in Room 2C at 10 a.m. and to contact their state representative, senator and all members of the Committee immediately, urging them to oppose ill-considered, fast-track legislation. Contact members of the Task Force. Find your elected officials here. --------------------------- Visit NSSF's Government Relations site at nssf.org/GovRel
  3. I keep reading and hearing that the entire Sandy Hook tragedy never happened. It's real it happened, 20 children are dead as is 6 adults. I live close enough to know people affected in same way shape or form. Do I think the state would lie about the details of the event...absolutely. Now the believers in the "it did not happen" have been attending the hearings this week and speaking their piece about the conspiracy. Guess what? reading between the lines it is coming off as proof of the gun nut theory. It's enough of an isssue that our local gun rights group had to send out an email . Here is the last paragraph. I have never seen a tone like this from these good folks. That means we had two bad days of hearings. So now to my point. Is this all a setup by the liberals to make gun owners look nuts? Because if it is, judging by some of the crap in my inbox it's working and working well. Something to think about.
  4. I should add that the grips are in fact in great shape, near perfect. I just have something in mind for pictures.
  5. stopped by my local gun shop to pick up the Browning and Kidd 10/22 hardware and was surprised to see he still had a decent amount of handgun and 308 ammo. More surprising was a bunch of 30 round PMAGS. The guy who runs the shop is a talker so to get two guns out the door took about 50 minutes. After I finished my paperwork I was going to go outside and call a buddy to see if he needed the mags. Well during the process a local LEO stopped in to pick up a Remmy Magpul 870 (What a gun) Anyhow he sees the mags and calls a friend. After about 10 minutes he brings 6 to the counter to check out. About 5 minutes later he gets a few more. By the time I completed my deal the cop had bough every mag. The shop was selling the mags for $24.95. Usually they are $19.95. Not bad considering. He also sold his last two Stags Varmint AR's for $1100 and change. Nice to see him still being honest. too bad for my buddy though. Lastly he might have 3 BX-25's tomorrow. I need them badly!!!

  7. Agreed on the P220 for sure
  8. To me the BHP is one of the most comfortable and naturally pointing pistols ever produced. Feels like an old friend.
  9. Holy cow did Microgunner hook me up good with a Belgian High Power. Finish is near perfect. Im going to clean it up good and maybe get some new grips for photographic purposes. This gun has been on my bucket list for decades. This pistol was the talk of the gun shop today. Pictures once she's cleaned up
  10. Stamford has it's fair share of violent crime for sure. Due to it's proximity of NYC it's an expensive place to do anything.
  11. Long as your legal your ok. Your biggest threat is theft. If your in a city and after dark I would carry a pepper blaster and knife. At least when it's cold most of the democratic voting population stays inside.
  12. They are supposed to release everything mid march...after they push all the shit legislation through.

  15. I just got this minutes ago from the CCDL our gun rights group here in CT Critical Note: There are presently videos, articles, and some blogs circulating that are confusing many people. These all point to one ore more conspiracy theories. While some of the information has not been released yet by the investigative teams, the Today show video in particular that mentions an AR15 in the trunk of a car is actually a video that was taken the morning after the school was attacked. That information has since been corrected to state that an AR15 type rifle was used in the attack. Testifying with any kind of assertion that there is a conspiracy of some kind going on, will mean that you will not be taken seriously, and may mean a set back for us all. Please heed this message.
  16. BTW I lied about voting for him ;D
  17. Blumenthal was the AG here for decades. He was instrumental in our 93 AWB here in CT. Heres what I blasted off in a moment of anger -------------------------------------------------------------------- I am not surprised CT will attempt to copy California’s failed gun control and economic policies for that matter. I am very disappointed with you Mr. Blumenthal. I voted for you. I thought you would be different in Washington. I was mistaken. You know perfectly well that a semiautomatic AR15 is absolutely no functionally different than a Remington 750, Browning BAR or a Remington 1100 shotgun etc. In fact these firearms are MUCH MORE POWERFUL. AR15 shoots a cartridge designed for varmints, can’t even be used for deer in most jurisdictions. I know you know better. To lead the public to believe these are automatic or select fire weapons is disgraceful. It’s my position that if folks are blatantly lying to the public about firearms it is of great concern to me. If they are not lying and just that naïve speaking of things they know nothing about that even scares me more. If you think AR15’s and High capacity magazines are the issue. You will certainly never contribute positively to discussions of budget, national security and the general welfare of American citizens. I find the politicizing and the rabid media coverage of this tragedy absolutely disgusting. Thank you for giving me a reason to upgrade my NRA membership to a life member. I will also be donating to the NRA ILA every chance I can afford too as well as Connecticut’s own pro 2nd amendment groups . The old adage of common sense is not so common is proving to be the case here in Connecticut and Washington. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss this further. I would gladly help you or anyone understand the facts. I will even by lunch. My treat.
  18. This is what the ass-hole blanketed CT inboxes with last month. Tomorrow he, ass-hole Chris Murphy and Frankenfienstien will announce the AWB Dear Friends, Earlier this month, a tragedy befell the community of Newtown, Connecticut. I have spent most of these past few weeks in Connecticut and will never forget the sights and sounds of a grieving but strong and resolute, tight-knit community. I first learned about this incident in the midst of a normal day. As the details mounted, I left Hartford to go to Newtown and to the firehouse in Sandy Hook. I arrived there as a public official but what I saw was through the eyes of a parent. The firehouse in Sandy Hook is where parents went to find out if their children were okay. The way they found out was that their children appeared – or they didn’t. And after a while, some of the children came, some were reunited with their parents there or at the school, and their parents took them home, and, sadly, others did not. After that day, I was in Newtown many times, attending a local board of education meeting with town, state, and federal officials, participating in church services, funerals, and vigil memorials including one joined by President Obama. I spoke with police, fire and emergency responders and participated in a meeting of Newtown teachers and leaders. I observed acts of kindness and caring, large and small − too numerous to mention − showing remarkable solidarity. Again and again, people in Newtown and across Connecticut have beseeched me: Please do something about gun violence. Indeed, Newtown has prompted national reflection and a call to action all around America. It is the right time to ask what we can do to prevent future tragedies. I urge all people who share that view – that we need real change to make America safer – to make their voices heard. I will work to keep faith with the Newtown community and find a solution to this crisis that is rooted in common sense. I will work with the President, and my colleagues in the Senate, regardless of party, and with any organization that is willing to engage in a thoughtful, constructive discussion about the steps we need to take. Here are some necessary steps: [list type=disc] [*]We must do something to effectively ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines. [*]We need to better prevent mentally ill people and criminals from having access to firearms. [*]We need to close loopholes that enable 40 percent of all gun sales to be made without background checks. These is no single, simple solution, but our nation clearly can and must do something to stop the vicious spread of gun violence that victimized 20 young, beautiful children and the professional educators who courageously sought to protect them from this horrific massacre. Thank you for your support for Newtown – and all of Connecticut – during this difficult time. This is my commitment today. To do something. In fact, to do everything I can as a Senator to prevent the next tragedy. As a former law enforcement official – and as a father – I cannot do less. I know there are some who say that we can never do anything about the problem of gun violence, that we are entrenched as a nation, that we will just continue to wring our hands after every massacre but never take action. And yet sometimes events happen that so horrify our country and our fellow citizens, that they change the nature of the discussion. They change the political ground under us. They are a tectonic shift. And I believe that the massacre of these innocent children and their loving teachers in Newtown is exactly such an event. This is our moment and we are the people to do it. And with your help we can and we will. And so it is with eyes trained on a better, safer future, my family and I wish you and yours a blessed and peaceful new year.
  19. no doubt it is being well orchestrated with the release of info. Ct gun owners are beyond fuked. The dems have total control
  20. I will no longer donate to any charities that are not 2a related. I will however contribute to every lawsuit filed in CT as well as continue to support the local gun rights groups and NRA ILA. I am scaling back my Directv subscription to save money and eliminate the premium channels as to not support the actors in that video. fuk them all in the neck
  21. CT lawmakers just forced a 50% ammo tax through the general assembly. It's in the hands of the tax folks now
  22. I mentioned this video earlier as it was inline with the ME's reports of the bullets staying in the bodies as designed
  23. Nice..that 2nd chick is freaking hot as hell too. I would like to examine that holster in great detail
  24. This is how it's done!! Despite the withdrawal of at least 183 exhibitors, and 23 scheduled celebrities, British-owned Reed Outdoor Exhibitions refuses to budge on a prohibition of the presence or display of images of the modern sporting rifle at its Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show scheduled for February 2-10 at the State Farm Complex in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Yesterday, Smith & Wesson, the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) joined the growing list of companies withdrawing both their participation and sponsorship of the east's largest sport and outdoor show. In protest of the Reed Decision, former advertiser MyNortheastOutdoors.com plans to build and host a no-cost "Virtual Sports Show" online for vendors who have pulled out of the show.
