Final elimination round loss (I'm right lane). I beat him in the index, he beat me at the tree... >:(

Since the new company (Energy Transfer) came and bought us (Southern Union) for 6 billion dollars, it's been crazy as hell. We're working like dogs, bringing on contract staff for extra support like crazy. The talent pool in Houston is tapped, since there is SO MUCH WORK available here.

I do hate to get schooled at the tree! What's worse is the final race was with a Dodge Daytona truck, so I had to wait to take off. I hate being the faster car in brackets, I'd rather be chased than do the chasing. I should have loaded the back of the truck! I was on Hoosier drag slicks and was spinning like a demon at the line, even after burning them down in the box. It is indeed a Lightning. It's my second one, I had a 2000 model that I raced a bunch, it was faster than this 2003 I have now. I'm pushing 14psi in this current truck.

It was a company-sponsored event at San Antonio Raceway in Seguin, TX. We had ten drivers, raced bracket style, employees sold raffle tickets for donated prizes and we raised $7,240 for St. Jude's Children's Hospital. I won my first three elimination rounds to make my way to the final, then the other guy schooled me at the tree. So, I ended up with second place. Nt bad since I hadn't raced in about five years. Here is a test-n-tune run, I'm in the gray Lightning truck.

I've watched these guys for quite a while now, they've put out some cool concepts, but nothing I've felt the urge to buy. They're based just north of Houston, in the Woodlands.

I picked one of these up today in .270 Win., looking forward to getting some blood on it next month in South Texas.

Hey guys, I just picked up a Ruger American Rifle in .270 Win, then proceeded took up a couple of boxes of .270 WSM ammo (noticed when I got home). Are these interchangeable, or completely different? I mean, I know it's the short mag rounds, but does a rifle in .270 win accept both? <dontknow>

Makes me nervous now, I have to leave my new truck in the driveway since it won't fit in my garage.

So a friend sent me a text a few minutes ago saying her catalytic converter had been cut off her car in a parking lot while she was in a store. Wtf!! I hadn't heard of this before, so I looked it up and found it to be a fairly common thing. Unreal. I hate thieves.

I have the DPMS panther claw, it's a delrin action block that you clamp into a vice. They have them in 5.56 and 7.62

We've got two rotties down at the martial arts school, they belong to the chief instructor. These are rotties number four and five for him. Super sweet girls, they all have been. He only gets bitches and so far they've all been great. One of the last pair had blown out a knee and cost a ton of money to keep her going, then had to put them both down due to health within nine months of each other. Lets see some pics of the new pup when you get it.
