  1. I guess if you wanted, just buy any direct mount suppressor, and have someone weld it to the barrel of your choice... just remember that most suppressors disassemble from the rear. You'd need one that disassembled from the front, to maintain that OAL of +16".
  2. You know.... If you only want to buy and wait for one stamp... I think it was Spikes that sold a 9" 300Blk barrel with a suppressor welded to the end. The combo actually measures OAL as a 16.25" barrel, so you only need a suppressor stamp. You won't be able to swap the suppressor between rifles, but you'd still have one badass machine on your hands.
  3. Cason does make the BCG, that's why I suggested them. You get what you pay for. I wasn't expecting much from a 7.5" barrel in the first place. If you want an inexpensive complete setup, check out the Stoner combo package on Brownells.
  4. 30 rounds is no problem. Even CMMG can do that... Show me 3k rounds without a hiccup, and I'll say nice things about them. Show me 30k, and I'll buy it.
  5. That Mk18 was pure sex for me. So dirty I damn near had to mortar it loose... only to make her extra dirty again. Daniel Defense makes an awesome weapon. I'm especially impressed with their CHF barrels. The 10.3" seemed to be the sweet spot for me, although I think I could go to 11.5" without noticing much difference.
  6. DPMS GenII Recon.
  7. If you read the report: 3 were stabbed to death in his apartment, possibly 2 more were run over on their bicycles. That makes only two deaths (maybe 4 if the bicyclists lived) by guns.... and whatever injuries came from shooting.

  9. Also check out Cason Engineering. It looks like they are making a bolt similar to the old LMT enhanced bolt. They claim several thousand rounds of full auto fire.
  10. That rifle is still running an MGI bolt. It's running flawless now.
  11. His Dad actually reported him several times for suicidal YouTube videos. I watched his last video. It went in great detail about his intention to kill a bunch of sorority girls... His reason... HE WAS A 22 YEAR OLD VIRGIN!!! Honest to God, that was his reason. He states several times that he was lonely and felt rejected by women. He held sorority girls responsible for his failure to score. The video was so bad and corny, I would've mistaken it as a joke. Now it's just creepy serial killer weird.
  12. We have Warhead locks on our ICBM's
  13. Effin comedians here... The Mil/LE price for Memorial Day sales is almost 50% off for the VCOG. I expect the price to drop this summer/fall. I don't think it's getting the draw they were hoping for. People are pissed that it's AAA battery operated, with no option for tritium. That, and the reticle leave something to be desired for some. Some complain about weight, but when you consider the integrated mount, it's not that bad.
  14. I remember my Top Ramen days fondly. I remember when the store was selling them 5 for a dollar. For $5 I ate for a month!! I tease that I was so broke that I had to eat the noodles in one meal, and the broth in the next meal. You know it's bad when you're breaking into your 20 year old stash of MRE's your uncle gave you back when you were still in Boy Scouts... Nothing says you care more about a date than Coors Lite, with MRE crackers and cheese spread...
  15. I think I bought this same one a few months ago. I put it on my 14.5" 5.56. It has been a decent scope for me thus far. I agree with the exact issues you brought up. For plinking, it's more than enough. For anything more serious I'll upgrade to one of the other 1-6x options. Currently looking at Vortex Razor HD Gen2, SWFA, and even the VCOG (insane sales right now).
  16. So a sheet metal guy, a controls guy and a cop walk into a bar... good times were had by all... at a Ranger's expense. Yeah, I may have brought up the "white spot".
  17. RRA just had a run of lefty uppers. STAG still puts out theirs every once in awhile. If you're building a dedicated SBR, you might as well start in the right (or in your case, left) direction. If you can grab an upper receiver and BCG, you can sit on those parts while you wait on your stamp. Finding them parts isn't an easy task... just ask Edgecrusher.
  18. I should've mentioned... we're meeting up on Sunday afternoon.
  19. A few of us are meeting up in Dunnigan (about 30 mins north of Sacramento) for some fun in the sun. Anyone else interested is invited to join.
  20. He's got a point. Ca-DOJ has the same outlook.
  21. Whatever is written on the side of your receiver, is what you got... it may be a customized Franken-gun... but it is still what it says. The new Camero has the Corvette engine in it... Does that make it a Vette, or is it still a Camero?
  22. Nothing low budget about an OBR. Their lowest end is still top shelf compared to most.
  23. I think Strike makes a polymer cover. Their parts are generally inexpensive.
