  1. A few of us may know something about that stock.... There may be a few videos and pictures out there too.
  2. A buddy of mine has a couple of spare SSA-E triggers he might be looking at selling off.
  3. That is a fucktastic lookin set of toys!! Especially that 870!!! I'm a fan already. Welcome to our den of miscreants and enablers! I'm just south of you, down in the Sac area. There's a large number of NorCal guys here. I'm thinkin a Rendezvous is in order!
  4. Haystack, take a look at the Wilson Combat TRIM rail and the APEX handguard. Both are sleek design and very sturdy. You can add rails in all sorts of manner and positions. The TRIM will also work with the KAC URX 3 accessories.
  5. The MOE+ is my favorite pistol grip out there right now. The fit and feel are perfect for my hand. I'm still expecting to buy the MOE-K2 when it gets released, but seeing as how it is still polymer, I doubt it will replace any of my MOE+ grips.
  6. I was being generic when I said "lead". I actually was talking about the round nose, jacketed ammo. I even have some tracers left over from the Vietnam era.
  7. Can i ask how much your rifle weighs? The purpose of buying a carbon fiber barrel isn't just for the accuracy. Accuracy can be found in lots of stainless steel, bench behemoths. Carbon fiber wrapped barrels give you the same amount of accuracy, with the portability of a lighter barrel. I can run my .308 in 3-gun or in a long range, and still hold competitive results. Some of us have to carry our rifles further than the truck to the bench.
  8. .30 cal M1 carbine lead in particular. Can this be used to reload? Specifically for the 300Blk. Quite often I run into nasty, old, corroded boxes of Vietnam era .30 carbine. I'm just wondering if it's worth pulling the lead for reloading. Would that round nosed stuff even work in a AR? I was just wondering, because .30 carbine proj's would be a cheap source for supersonic plinking ammo.
  9. That's the new-ish SRT (short reset trigger). I had the old trigger in my P226. I'll never go back to the old style. The SRT is not the same as the "short reach trigger". This is a completely new trigger assembly group. It is crazy fast. I'd say it was damn near as fast as my 1911. I get it back on Tuesday from Sig. I got the "Action Enhancement" package done to smooth out the trigger. I'm excited to shoot her again.
  10. I've got no room to brag here. I could only date women with small hands, or midgets and dwarfs.
  11. The wife has a P239 she carries on occasion. She really wants to swap to a Kimber Solo. I'm very tempted to get a P227 when they come available.
  12. The Magpul MIAD is the largest grip I've used.
  13. My barrel was cut from a Satern blank and then carbon fiber wrapped. It's a 17", 1:10" twist, rifle length barrel, .875 at the gas block, tipped with a BABC. Despite the thickness of the barrel, it's no where near at heavy as all those stainless barrels.
  14. Ps I shipped her to Sig last week for their "action enhancement" package.
  15. That gun + the 10 round mag + those grips + the Surefire x300 ultra = one helluva shooter! It shoots fast and accurate. I'm seriously debated on mounting an RMR between the rear sight and the ejection port.
  16. I have a very guarded secret reloader. He's a hobbyist who doesn't mind making a few bucks on the side. I set him up with some big shooters who buy lots of his reloads. As a thank you, he bought a bunch of .300 Blk dies.
  17. Petaluma! Are you goin to "Circle-S" ranch? I grew up over there.
  18. Here's how it looks with the long mags in it, but I do normally wear it with the standard 8 round mag.
  19. Looks like some good times ahead!
  20. Who needs 'em!? It cost me a small fortune, but here's my P220 duty belt load out. All that, plus the 8+1 in the gun. All loaded with .45 Winchester 230gr +P bonded T-series. Probably have $600 just sitting there in that pic. Thank god for free ammo!!
  21. It's not that expensive when you compare it to another custom barrel. I love when people compare custom carbon fiber barrels to off the shelf barrels. That's like comparing a Formula 1 car to your wife's Hyundai. A true custom barrel will cost $600-$700, and will take 10-12 months to complete. A carbon fiber wrapped barrel costs $950 and takes 12-14 months. That's the cost of wanting the best. Some people feel the best is worth the cost.
  22. It could have been and older kit, still using the ar-15 part.
  23. Justin, are you comparing lightweight short barrels vs heavy/bull long barrels?
  24. Those are all good barrels, but if it's truly "all about accuracy" there are better choices. Take a look at the custom, carbon fiber wrapped, barrels at ProofResearch.com If you're interested, call them up. Mike Dagerness or Jeff Badelt will answer all your questions and help you build a custom barrel exactly for your needs. If you want a barrel that will be accurate at the bench and light enough to hunt with, this is your best option.
