I have shot a total of maybe 5 or 6 of the 3-1/2" shells in my life. I hated every one of them. I can do damn near anything with a 2-/34" and only use the 3" for the added distance/range. As for turkey, I'd rather get better at my calls and brag about using a 20g or a .410

Unless local can offer you something online won't. Warranty and repairs are all done at the manufacturer level now. Small shops just sell, and they are generally only concerned with the bottom line.

I inherited my fathers PR24. He guesses he bought it sometime in the early 70's. I've been carrying it for 10 years. A few years ago the psycho chief tried to say no more sticks, and we had to carry the expendables instead. Being the instructor, I protested and was shut down. So rather than "carry" the PR24, I mounted it on the front of my motor. Now I "carry" the expandable, but the PR is always within reach.

I read the Mossy 500 does better with those stubbys than the 870's. It has something to do with the loading gate shape. Talk to the Serbu "Super Shorty" guys about the stubby loads. They have lots of experience with that stuff. Full size 12g loads in a short barrel gets painfull after a while, I don't care who you are.

Im tempted to get an FNX 45. 15+1 in the pistol, and 18 in the spares (with DP +3 base plates)

On duty, I carry a Sig P220 Carry Elite Stainless. I have 8+1 in the gun and four 10's on my person. I'm trying to figure a way to get more on me, or near me. Hopefully the plan to get an AR pistol in my saddlebag works out.

I know a cop who carries a FN 5.7x28. He has 21 in the gun and 30 rounds in each of his spare mags. I know he owns at least 3 spares last I checked with him.
