  1. I think it's cool that you can flip the bullet to be either a HP or a solid tip
  2. I believe Troy and PRI both make low profile gas blocks in that size.
  3. I want to put a bayonet on my 870!!! That's so effin sweet!
  4. off topic, same family... I want a mod 92 in .500 magnum!

    6 to go

I sent that to my wife and she shows it to everyone b
  6. I was researching a 10mm build. My ammo supply kinda dried up. So I might consider a .40 cal instead now. Although a 9 and 45 are always resting in the back of my mind. I've read about a few people building 7.62x25 as cheap plinkers. I see that cheap ammo is drying up now too. Besides .223 and .308, I have a 300blk, 7.62x39 and 22lr. I'm very impressed with how affordable 5.7x28 has become. I have tossed around the idea of a pistol/SBR build and one of their uppers. What I would ultimately love is a reliable 12 or 20 gauge upper!
  7. I have two BABC's. They're great! One on my .308 and one on my 300Blk.
  8. Good to hear.
  9. Does he think the issues were related? I'm not seeing the reason for a gunsmith yet? Replace the parts, and start shooting.
  10. My simple mind had to read this 5 or 6 times before I could understand... And I'm still not sure I got it?!? Could you post us some pictures of the damage? A lot of guys here should be able to help you.
  11. I couldn't help but notice they mentioned a mil discount.... I'm just sayin.
  12. The helicopter lost, and was subsequently retired.
  13. I would fight a rabid gorilla (kinda like Tom, but with less grey hair) to get one of those LVOA-SBR handguards or uppers. I'll email you tonight.
  14. You have contacts at War Sport?!?!? You know I'm going to start pickin on you about insider info for that LVOA
  15. Obviously 392heminut and I are two separate generations... Those old "Second Chance" vests were just what the name implied... a second chance. The ballistic we wear now is a LOT better. My vest (with plate) says that it'll stop a 12g slug.... I'm not standing around to find out if it works.
  16. Also, at that time, LAPD did not issue slugs to patrol officers. That is/was a common practice with a lot of larger agencies. I know that Sacramento PD only allows Sgt+ to use/issue slugs, patrol has buck and AR's. High density metropolis areas frown on the over-kill ability of the 1 oz slug.... When I used to push a car around, I had a whole bandolier of slugs on my war bag!
  17. They have Gangnam Nukes! We've seen how well they drive. Lets see how well they can fly a missile. They'll shoot their eyes out.
  18. I ordered one. The price is good! I'll send it to WMD for a NiB coat right away.
  19. He quit before he started.
  20. Very nice!
  21. WTG Drew!!! I was a 40w, pushing 42... I am about to buy my first pair of 34's since highschool! I have dropped 55 lbs in 6 months.
  22. It looks like the Krauts have a special gas/bolt system for their HK's to fire this properly. A lighter spring and bolt assembly are used. I'd be interested in trying this out. Get a light spring, make a super light buffer... The expensive part would be the carrier. Maybe a JP LMOS would help?? I hate the idea of "swiss cheesing" a perfectly good carrier. It could work? Especially on those carbine gas systems...
  23. Where are the pictures? Lol, welcome to the site
  24. The way I understand it, they are equivalent to about a 10gr to 30gr bullet (lighter than a .22lr). They fly at about 4,500fps. I think they were designed for a 25-50 yrd range (indoors?) due to the extremely lightweight projectile. The Germans used these for training only as the cost is over 10:1 vs standard ammo. I hear they are very clean to shoot. Edit: Here is more info on it. http://www.wideners.com/itemdetail.cfm?item_id=8699&dir=18|830|848
