  1. Awesome! Have fun, bring home some sweet video. <thumbsup>
  2. <lmao> that's the spirit <thumbsup>
  3. It's ok John, you're good. You don't need a new gas tube but if you were to change it out now it would be easier. If you don't have many rounds down range, pipe cleaner it and re-assemble. Mike, he has another thread that explains the other stuff.
  4. she looks too dangerous for Tom, better come with a Life Alert device…. oh and the Saiga is nice too ;)
  5. <thumbsup> , nice! I like the Troy HK style, have a set myself and plan on another in the future
  6. not so good ::)
  7. oh, he's good……
  8. try on your next range session keeping it at minimum magnification, and see what happens. if there is a problem in the scope tube, maybe we can find out somehow…. I know you are running a sweet barrel, and unless the barrel nut isn't tightened properly or the extension isn't aligned right, we can probably rule that out.
  9. wow ! something doesn't sound right, are you sure everything is tightened and aligned properly? I am concerned, something is way off, not even sure how your groups open up that much in a 100 yards…. .5" at 100 to 5-6"at 200?? Even the light weight bullets should hold grouping better than that…I have no answer but someone here will.. sit tight brother, we'll get this fixed… Not sure, but a stab in the dark, what kind of glass are you using? Are you increasing magnification as you increase range? I only ask because I wonder if the reticle is loose in your scope? Stab in the dark!
  10. What wash said, a little more gas will cycle the rifle better and hold open on the last round

  12. 168gr and 175 gr gmm in my Larue is sub moa out to 550 yds, that's as far as i've gone. the farther you go the heavier the bullet should be… I think…. <dontknow>
  13. get those heads done yet????? <dontknow> <munch>
  14. yeah, we both thank you. Although i'm glad to have found a training rifle for my daughter and something we can all enjoy all rolled into one.
  15. awesome video <thumbsup>
  16. Swiss cheese work being a very technical term.
  17. Holy crap, guess its been a while since the days of preordering the OBR! The GAP precision rifle, if its anything like their bolt guns you can't go wrong!
  18. Factory built at that price : Larue, I have one, can shoot the dick off a tick at any range! Also won't bat an eye suggesting LWRC and Pof. There are many others out there that are quality rifles, but if you gave me the money and said to buy one off the shelf, these are my choices. Welcome to poverty.
  19. In the spring in fast cool waters I've had lots of luck with medium size brass colored spoons for trout, in the fall red and brown rooster tails
  20. In addition to this can you build or prefer an out of the box rifle?
  21. Welcome, beware that the bull barrel will add significant weight. To help with recoil, try a heavier buffer, worked on all my rifles, and Clint from heavy buffers.com will give you the right set up for your rifle
  22. welcome from wmass
  23. today is a holiday and they may all be on a long weekend.
  24. It'll be easier to help with a round about budget and maybe what distances you might shoot. Also if you want an adjustable or fixed power.
  25. Don't bother unless you don't plan on shooting it, it'll just continue to chip at the same spot… I have started using duracoat finish on my rifles, but all finishes, duracoat, cerakote, it doesn't matter, will all wear some in a spot where it sees use.
