  1. Pws with a 14" bbl= 1:10 twist, larue with a 20" bbl= 1:11.25 twist. Right now all I shoot in the larue is the 168gr gold medal and black hills match ammos, both are consistant and accurate, but is there better for it. Thanks

I bought a case (500) of federal 150 gr bthp, I haven't ever shot it before, only gmm in 168 gr in my larue. My ques is what difference will I notice, and nextweek when my pws ces cam I use it for break in or should I use my gold medal for a while. Just trying to cut costs
  3. Drew, 175 for 200ct, gun show at eastern states expo ctr, west springfield ma, today and tom
  4. red dawn, zombie apocolipse , hell obama, my reasons need not make sense to anyone but me
  5. i don't have a 1911 but i always liked the cocobolo look
  6. i love the trigger. it came as the factory trigger in my larue obr. i like it alot. i think it has a clean break and follow up pulls are much the same. i don't have a way to measure but i would say that it is about the 2.5 lb they claim it to be. i haven't shot my larue as a br but i think the trigger will be fine in that role. as an interesting side fact it's the trigger the ales rep at pws said he uses in that rifle for three gun, which further reinforced my decision. i say buy it, but i may be a bit impulsive that way. got a new glock 26 at a gunshow today along with 500 rds of 150 gr federal ammo. i never shot any but for 240, well, i said i could be impulsive.
  7. hey gunner, i just had a rifle shipped today, had problems with my ffl being a douche, and these guys through the ordering process and dealing with the ffl have been fantastic. pws is aok
  8. rifle shipped today, gun show tom. oh boy <thumbsup>
  9. i'm with you tango, i probably have about the same, and a decent surplus of other rounds, let's hope that it never happens but being a little prepared can go along way. i don't live in the city, am close enough to get there, but far enough away. i'd rather run ops using home as a fob, and if it got real bad my father lives 20 mins away well into the country.
  10. well i do have a 5 year old, and she has been well versed as best as possible about gun safety so far. i have two pit bulls as an early warning system, and have been thinking of a benelli super nova as my first shot gun for home defense. my glock is near the bed, but let's face it, if they are willing to pass the dogs they will be more than will to take two to the chest.
  11. just ordered geissele ssa/ssf trigger and troy ind folding ft and rear hk style iron sights with tritium inserts from brownells for incoming mk214 rifle. <thumbsup> gun show this weekend too, last time got 168 gr fed gmm for 165 a case( 200 rds). damn, uncle sams returns don't as far as they used to.
  12. Amen! <thumbsup>
  13. herk, i just recently ordered pws mk 214 for my battle rifle, it may not have everything your looking for but so far customer service has been great, and their rep told me he uses his out of the box rifle for three gun with only an aftermarket trigger and optics. they are light and you can purchase some ambi controls after. he also said i'd be surprised by it's accuracy, hope it helps.
  14. Mil spec ar15s didn't meet my spec, and the .308 seemed better, my larue was my first, pws mk214 coming in april, and thanks to all you guys I will end up building one eventually
  15. momma says it's a proposal to be reviewed, not fully enacted, yet. by the way, she's an attorney
  16. right along with the ones i never purchased, ironically, from ct
  17. thats harsher than mass, good luck drew, you felonious man <laughs>
  18. well larue lost out, and i ordered a mk 214 today. assisted by salesman mr. stacey nagy, i was helped into making it mass compliant, and had a very pleasant experience placing my order. the rifle comes with everything i need for now, although i will put on either aftermarket irons or an optics combo on it but i was told i'd be pleasantly surprised with it's accuracy and i can't wait for it's arrival. full range report to come as well as pics on arrival and after optics mounting
  19. I am wondering what anyone may know of these coated parts, more specifically their bolt carrier group. Any info would be great, pros and cons, does it work, ect.
  20. Its ok drew, I am going to order their mk214 on monday and it comes with it, they have been excellent to speak to so far. You are only a bit away, you'll have to give it a whirl
  21. How can I shoot with scorched retinas <lmao>
  22. no worries, how did it shoot? i have an older g19 that i am interested in improving
  23. tac, i am going to buy a new rifle monday, primary weapons mk 214, and then i will be interested if i have funds. it may be a few weeks? if you have to sell it by all means, but i would like to purchase it. what are the transfer laws? are there any because its just the slide?
  24. could be a total deal breaker, i hate to say it, but that's that. i've also been talking to primary weapon systems, and they will pin the stock, their rifle is also in the realm of what want, i.e. light weight .308 battle rifle. yes they have a piston system, but i haven't found any negative feed back, online or on paper, to sway me away. oh larue you broke my heart :(
