  1. Fuk that. I won't get into the "19 competition" with it - but it'll fucking SHOOT!...
  2. I just went through all-brownells for a 17 complete gun, minus mags. The price is $686. I can get a blue label G34 Gen 5 MOS for less than that.
  3. I'd MUCH rather try to fight a raccoon, brother!
  4. HELL YEAH!!! THAT is "thinking outside the box," right there!!!... Fuckin' Warrior had a mission, and he was not gonna fail. He made due, and got it done... ...he just didn't count on that raccoon regaining consciousness... Holy Fuk, is that awesome...
  5. Exactly. I'll have one factory 17, 2 x MagPul 17s, 2 x factory 19s, and a MagPul 21. Plus one in the pipe. That's 111 rounds... I doubt I'll need more. That'll get me to the rifle, no matter where it's at...
  6. I find it a little strange that Brownells just sent out this email today - look at what's contained in this link... https://www.brownells.com/guntech/how-to-build-a-polymer80-for-a-glock-174-pistol/detail.htm?lid=17513
  7. Eh, it's not the same though if there's no shiit-talkin'! Dirk told me about these - and I didn't get the Brownells email. So I tried searching for them. No luck. A few hours later, I saw the email, opened it, and tried to get to the link - there is no link in that damn email. So I searched again. I can't find those damn 33rd FDE Glock mags anywhere on Brownells. Just can't. I'll probably just stick to the MagPul 27-rounders, if I need that much...
  8. 9" from Aero Precision, brother. $150 with the barrel nut, $130 without it (you'll need it). They offer .mil discounts - call & set it up, or email it in. 10% setup into your account that way. https://aeroprecisionusa.com/m5-enhanced-mlok-handguards-gen2.html
  9. MagPul GL9 Mags, brother. Cheap, and they'll run.
  10. I'm down with slingin' Cerakote on anything you need, brother.
  11. EXCELLENT Loquacious response!!! I hear ya, exactly, and feel the same way. That was the best unit I was ever in - it was no-nonsense. I miss it, too, and only went back once, sometime between '99 and '01. It was sad to see. Went out to the old ROP site (CLC - "Combat Leader's Course" - my a$s...) - that sucked to see the condition of the Planning Bays and everything. My barracks was right over the hill from you, then. I was right there behind the diner and clothing sales, in the WWII buildings. I'm very, very familiar with the JBM Ballistics calculators, and use them alot. I use "Trajectory Simplified" more than anything, and I've submitted a few of the Hornady bullet lengths for their library. That McGowan calculator would be excellent, for a one-trick pony - build a specific twist rate for a known load that's never gonna change - I ran my 18" Grendel common load through there, and came up with a 1:9.7" twist. Nope, I wouldn't want that on my Grendel - it's a 1:8" twist and does a great job with that. I load up different projectiles and loads for different things, with different weighted projectiles, and the 1:8" serves me well. I'll get into that other one this weekend, and check it out...
  12. DVOR is blowing out a bunch of ZEV Technology Glock parts... https://www.dvor.com/zev-technology-firearm-parts-80-2018-06-14.html?utm_source=event-notification&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=event_20180614&opener=mail

^^^ THAT is funny, right there, I don't care who you are...
  14. Damn Dirk! You're not messing around, brother!
  15. Shoot against it this Fall, brother... Bring what you bring...

Holy Shiit, I bought that Tac Pro II in early 2010, and the holster right after that... it's 8 years old now...

I loved the design and the retention of that holster so much, I ordered one for my XD45 Service gun. It's been a daily-carry for many years also, and had the shiit beat out of it. You can't go wrong with that holster, brother - you just can't. If you get it, no matter what size your 1911 is, and you hate it - I'll buy it off you.

4" or 5" 1911, brother? I SWEAR BY... Mernickle Holsters, for 1911s. SWEAR BY them. This is my Kimber Tac Pro II (4") in the Mernickle Conceal Carry Performance Series PS6 holster, the "Sunset" edition. I fucking LOVE this holster for this pistol. It's PERFECT. This holster is at least 6 years old by now, and this gun has been a daily carry for a long, long time, with that CMC 10-rounder in a Blackhawk single-stack mag carrier. Bulletproof system. Here's the link to the holster, and their (Mernickle's) pic of it: https://www.mernickleholsters.com/ps/ps6r18.html
  19. @shepp@392heminut I have my first Glock on order, and it better be on the way already...
  20. I pick mine up on Friday. I'll have you an on-steel break-in shoot video up here on Saturday afternoon. I've already "acquired" extra shiit... Now, I am NOT a Glock FanBoi... I'm an "Anti" to that. What initially drew me to this specific gun was all the HATE from the Glock Fanbois... THey can't fucking STAND this thing, and are SO offended that Glock made this public, when it WAS NOT what "they" wanted... I had to have one... I pick it up Friday, and I will run this motherfucker through the wringer on Saturday morning, EARLY here, before it gets hot. I will give you a video of the whole procession...
  21. The Matrix runs a DPMS LR-308 bolt catch. I used an AR15 mag catch in mine.

Unreal. Blows my mind. The shiit these guys are doing, with the level of dedication that they're doing it at, for the REASONS they're doing it... blows my mind. They have my respect, big time. I'm hooked, with only watching one episode.
  23. THAT IS SWEET!!!! I need to dig out a pic of my M1 Carbine - that thing has a rail clamped right onto the barrel - and it's crazy accurate!
