planeflyer21
Very cool brother Jon. When you make it out here, we'll hit the Pima Air Museum and AMARC tour. Like living next to Disney Land for me.
unforgiven
I'd like that alot brother, went here with the wife and had an officer give us a tour : http://roadsidegeorgia.com/site/mightyeighth.html they had a simulator that let you swing a 50 cal. around to electronic targets. You don't realize how much weight there is to swing.Another eye opener was a closeup of what shrapnel was made of in AA fire. washguy
That warms my heart ....the B52 is my favorite. Both of my uncles flew them. My uncle G is the one that still flies his King Air. My Great uncle A. J. Beck commanded Offutt the SAC base that had the plane called "looking glass" I think it was called that? stayed airborne all the time in case of war before there were sats. He was also inspector general at one time for SAC....he also tought me how to fistfight and gave me mt first black eye at the tender age of 12...ill never forget this great man and always love the B52 :) Wash http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A._J._Beck

planeflyer21
Jon where abouts is that at if I've got time I wouldn't mind checking that out They are both in Tucson Shepp. Right across the STREET from each other! The bus tour for AMARC leaves from the Pima Air Mueseum. A full day for sure. And that's not even counting the Titan Missile Mueseum, run by the same folks. Very good insight into the cold war.
