That's just incredibly sad. I think that's good enough reason for me to boycott Wally World as much as I possibly can. It's just dumbfounding to think that we're at a point in time where we can say "I remember when heroism used to be rewarded..."

It's going down the shytter like the rest of the morals and values of this country.  Common Sense was the first casualty, I think.  Integrity, Honesty and Intestinal Fortitude were close runners up.  They're all damn near extinct in this country anymore...  :-[

What if that bad guy had begun shooting at the patrons?  Is it still the job of the security guard to hide and call 911?  Situations like that esclate pretty quickly and for all they knew, the first customer to encounter that bad guy would be dead, bleeding on the ground.

I always knew there were morons working in management at Wal-Mart who couldn't take into account the situation and formulate a rational well thought out response that would applaud these employees, rather than punish them for protecting shoppers and other store employees.

I can see it now , shop lifter sues Wally world for being roughed up while being disarmed ,after threatening employee's with a hand gun .
