Malig8r Posted April 6, 2015 Report Posted April 6, 2015 Made plans with some old Vietnam vets to take them out shooting today. Don't jump on my case for calling them old because they are in their mid 60s ;) Anyways, one of them hadn't been shooting in over 20 years. Weapons used were: AR 15, LR308, and Springfield Socom 16. Sun was shining, temp was 65, and fun was had by all! Today was a good day :)

Malig8r Posted April 6, 2015 Author Report Posted April 6, 2015 Forgot to add that one of the guys hooked me up with 100 brand new Lapua 556 cases and 2K CCI spp. He was the guy that brought the Springfield Socom 16. I gotta tell ya...I really liked that rifle!
sketch Posted April 6, 2015 Report Posted April 6, 2015 Way to go Malig8r! Helped my friend install his safe this weekend! He needed it since we started shooting togeather a few years back. My oly preban ar sucked him right back in as fast as he could pull the trigger!
Malig8r Posted April 6, 2015 Author Report Posted April 6, 2015 Right on...the guy that hadn't shot a rifle for 20 years had just purchased an AR 15 and admitted that he had it for over 5 or 6 months but hadn't shot it. He kinda came clean if you will because he had previously told me that he had shot it. I just laughed & said we'll set something up for this weekend and get that bad boy broken in. Got the guys rounded up and headed out this morning. Like I said we all had a good time. I enjoy teaching/re-teaching people how to shoot and seeing all the fun they are having. We plan on doing it again very soon.
sketch Posted April 6, 2015 Report Posted April 6, 2015 we call it stress relief :) now if he could get the ammo prescription he could retire!
