Vilification of the NRA among its following through misinformation for the purpose of weakening it has become a prime tactic in efforts to neutralize that stumbling block. NRA receives no government funding, all income comes from their members and they will do whatever possible to protect that income. They will not sell you out and destroy their cushy lifestyle. They will attempt to serve the interests of the majority of their membership, but no one, absolutely no one can make everyone happy.
