Tried my hand at some color fills. Very happy with the outcome!

I got this lower to replace the New Frontier poly lower on my AR-15.

The upper is an SAA, so I thought I'd do a matching lower and go with some color fill.  Did the reaper and other roll marks in Testor's 'Army Green'.  Flat white and Insignia Red for the safety.  I'm pretty pleased with it so far.  Can't wait to get it swapped over and on the rifle!

New lower sitting on top of the rifle to give you an idea.

Ya, the green is actually pretty cool and not too blingy. I have wanted to do my safe /fire too. Not much into color fill in general... but that looks really good.

Thanks fellas!

I likey, how did you do it brother ???

It was prett simple. Watched a few youtube videos and combined a few ideas.

Basically took Testors, diluted it a little with thinner, dabbed it into the grooves with a toothpick and smooshed it around a little with the edge of a business card, let it set up that way for about 15-20 min with big ass ugly paint smears everywhere, then went back over with some cleaning patches and some remoil lightly rubbing back and forth until all that was left was the paint in the grooves. Easy peasy! ;)
