beeks Posted June 12, 2015 Report Posted June 12, 2015 (edited) Does anyone know if Rock River Arms 2 stage match trigger will fit an Aero Precision (308 DPMS style) lower receiver? My coworker loves his LAR-15NM with the trigger and the price is right. Edited June 12, 2015 by beeks
FaRKle! Posted June 12, 2015 Report Posted June 12, 2015 (edited) It should fit fine. That said, we aren't really a fan of those triggers here. The failure rate is pretty high. Edited June 12, 2015 by FaRKle!
StainTrain Posted June 12, 2015 Report Posted June 12, 2015 Oh no. Don't do it. If you want a two stage and need to save some bucks. Go with Geissele G2S..
98Z5V Posted June 12, 2015 Report Posted June 12, 2015 (edited) Just do a google search on that trigger, and you find many, many stories on the failures of it. Like Stain said, spend a few more bucks on the Geissele G2S. If you REALLY want to spend the least amount of money possible on a quality 2-stage trigger, just get the Armalite 2-Stage National Match trigger. Armalite has two different 2-stage trigger, but only one National Match version - go for that one. I can vouch for it, I have one, and it's in the 16" 300BLK rifle. I'll never replace it or get rid of it. It's a damn good 2-stage trigger. Edited June 12, 2015 by 98Z5V
MikedaddyH Posted June 12, 2015 Report Posted June 12, 2015 Its a good trigger... But it did go Full Auto on me and Hemi's son ! A loose primer did that. Its on my #24 308 gun and I know 98 likes it !!
blue109 Posted June 12, 2015 Report Posted June 12, 2015 (edited) I had a first gen die on me, they replaced it no questions but the new one wouldn't release the hammer in any of my guns. Replaced it again and this one works in my 5.56 guns but not my 308 lower. Not worth any more hassle, but they do stand behind the product. We got the mecharmor Trigger deal for $105. Seems silly to buy a RRA for $90 Edited June 12, 2015 by blue109
blue109 Posted June 14, 2015 Report Posted June 14, 2015 Nope...but a crisp 3# single gets the job done. As mentioned above, few bucks more gets you a rock solid G2S 2 stage. They go on sale pretty regular.
