308reloaded
did you start because you wanted a more accurate round or because it was a way you could afford to shoot more. me becuse it was the only way I could afford to shoot. we didnt just reload we also cast our own bullets, which you dont here much about in rifle's not days.. buy pistol. I still cast wheel weights got 9mm 38 sp/357 and 45acp round nose
survivalshop
It was cost at first m because of how much I shot . Then later its about how well my ammo shoot & how to make it better & I guess a little, self preservation . I just had a new door into reloading after all these years of trial & error , I got a Chronograph for Christmas & I see things differently now , almost like I just opened my eyes for the first time.Kinda cool ! 308reloaded
this past year was when I started to use bullets that were not cast. well hot and heavy use. loading for 5.56 and 7.62 I wanted something consistant. i enjoy hitting the target, not just going out and burning up powder. not to say I wont run a mag thru my 5.56 tactical. or practise double taps on 45 and 9. learned how to shoot moving targets with tire's being rolled down hill will carboard in center. have never loaded the first shotgun shell, I've seen it done. but I have not done it yet. Use a old Lyman I bought for 10.00 maybe 25 years ago a lee pro 1000 for 9mm. and wish for a Dillon 550b.i still have a box of CCI 550 small pistol magum primers that have price of1.99 on box. now they are around 30. per 1000 plus shipping if you dont go to the gun shows

JGshooter
I started mainly because of cost. the shooting range I go to only allows soft tip or hallow point rifle bullets. with My .223, I would buy the cheaper steel case stuff. But when I got my first .308, and began shooting further distance I was not happy with my grouping with the cheap steel case .308. I reload sierra Match King bullets and my groups got allot tighter...
