My Ma10 build

I bought a brand new 4" blued Python for $350 back in 1980 when I joined the local PD. I ordered it from a dealer in Shotgun News and my Lt. took delivery of it and did the transfer. He had a small firearms business that he ran out of his home. I let it get away from me several years later and a local farmer who's a gun nut ended up with it. He knows it was my duty weapon but won't turn loose of it. Now I probably couldn't afford to pay what it's worth anyway, he knows what they are selling for. I do have a 6" blued Python in the gun safe though, sitting right next to a 6" stainless Anaconda!

392... well damn...I found my receipt for the Python from 1980....crap I overpaid...the receipt  sez 399.00....

I'm ready to order my trigger now. What do you all recommend? The main purpose of the rifle is steel and hunting. I am going to limit this rifle to around 650 yds for steel. I'm thinking more on the lines of a single stage. I don't want more than 4 lbs. My budget is between $250 and $275.

I have seen quite a few people say they like the Wilson much better than a Geissele. No experience with either, but that's what I have read on other forums.

I sent them a question last week from work and Vance called me, I think it was Vance. I am a Contracting Officer for the government so he might've thought my inquiry was about business, but even if not, he was very responsive.

I just don't want to buy one because of a good price deal and be sorry. I kinda subscribe to the buy once cry once theory, but I've seen others on here including you that like them and that is reassuring.

Wash, you'd cry if you saw the price I paid for mine back in the late 70's! I was stationed at Bragg then. By the middle of the month GI's needed money bad and I got em for a steal! It was either me or the pawn shop, and tried to get them before they ended up there!

I bought the Geissele Hi Speed DMR. Botach had them on sale for $239 and free shipping. I know it isn't single stage, but I thought back on how I loved the 2 stage trigger on the Sako TRG 42 I had a couple years ago. Now if my brake would ever get off back order I'll be set with only scope remaining to be purchased.

I had never seen anyone wear socks with sandals until a few years ago,and it was like WTF??? I don't,never did.Tacops trigger is sweet, the ACT is also a damn good trigger for the money. These are the best value in a single stage trigger IMO.

THANK YOU both brother's Hoyt and HALO for you service to this great country.

Thank you. I did 10 years in the Air Force and those 10 years really changed my life. I wouldn't be where I am today hadn't it been for the military. I didn't care for the three deployments I went on, but the one I have great memories of is the Iraq one when I deployed in support of the BRO. Those Army cats really ain't that bad...lol.

I might have a little setback on my hands. My Syrac adjustable doesn't seem to be operating correctly. It is supposed to have audible firm clicks and mine does not. It turns way too easy and it is difficult to just get a single click. It wants to turn 2 or 3 with very little effort. I sent them an email to see if it may be bad. This is just my luck so I expected a setback or two. Oh well, trigger isnt here yet anyway. Should be midweek though.

Whats an ELF push button safety ?  Photo's

http://www.elftmanntactical.com/store/product/ambidextrous-speed-safety/

I'm at work or I would post actual photos. I wanted this because I have never been a fan of the ar style safety. the tail of my trigger is long and it hits the cross bar of the safety. If it was flattened on one side like a normal safety it would work probably. Bummer.

Get a set of Barrel vice Blocks or make your own , to clamp the Barrel into & tighten & loosen the Muzzle Device till its where you want it . The Crush washer will only compress, so far or you can order a set of shim's , to index your Muzzle device & use some rock set or Loctite to attach it .

Barrel clamping is the safest way to install or remove Muzzle devices .
